With influences from 70’s New York and 80’s Manchester, Jukebox Collective have crafted a sound that has an appreciation of the past, whilst remaining vibrantly current. Rooted in the blistering rhythm section courtesy of Josh Williams (drums) and Nick Caulkett (Bass, synths), Greg Keegan’s razor edged guitars provide the perfect backdrop for Kevin Sewell’s tales from the city.

Currently spinning in Topshop NYC, Jukebox Collective recently held no. 1 spot on the Amazing radio chart in May for 3 weeks and have also been a regular feature on Hype Machine.

Previous winner of the BBC 6 Music Rebel playlist (Beating Beady Eye and Carl Barat), they were introduced by Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music and performed a live in studio show on the 4th February 2011. Steve Lamacq did an interview with them on 20th April as his “new favourite band.” Along with them, they are currently receiving support from Nick Hawkins (BBC 6 Music), John Kennedy (Xfm), Frank Skinner (Absolute) and Mike Joyce (East Village Radio).

The Rise And Fall Of Billy The Kid is set to be released on the 8th August on Gash Digital, with a plethora of remixes to follow.

Sheffield is renowned for knives and forks. Not forkin’ apples. Especially not Candy Apples that are quite as tasty as this one.
 
Emerging from a city with a rich musical heritage, Jagerverb is the latest electronic producer from the city of steel and is set to follow in the recent rhythmic footsteps of Toddla T and our very own Coin Operated Boy.

The record hasn’t yet been promo’ed to the masses, but those lucky enough to have grabbed a copy from us that have been showing their support all summer include Foamo and Boy 8 Bit.

The remix package isn’t one to be scoffed at either. Jagerverb and Coin Operated Boy have been friends for a few years now and this affiliation is easy to hear within their music. Coin Operated Boy takes the feel good summer hook of the original and well and truely twists it into a melodic treat of his own creation.

The first Gash Digital debut of the package comes from the mighty Teenage Mutants. Within less than a year the talented pair have found themselves releasing tracks on Discobelle, No Brainer, Top Billin’, Coco Machete and Sony. Tight beats and tasteful house grooves run throughout their productions and they’ve collaborated and been remixed by the likes of Lars Mosten, Malente, Stupidfresh and Jan Driver to name but a few.

Another duo making their Gash Digital debut on this release are Jordan and Santero. Pete Jordan is a renowned for his hard work as a promoter, DJ, producer and all round nice guy with his Spectrum parties in London, Birmingham and Nottingham all being something very special. His partner in production Santero is a hugely talented DJ and recent winner of the Red Bull 3style competition. Together they have started making quite a name for themselves as producers well worth keeping your eyes and ears on. This remix stays loyal to their love for bass ridden house music.

The duo’s are out in force on this release. Last but not least we are joined by yet another Gash Digital. This time from Dublin’s Two Charming Men. Sticking true to the orginal their remix adds plenty groovy lower frequency punch.

This spring Gash Digital is back to business. T R I P C I K offers the first of several releases from new artists on the label and is a beautiful project worthy of tempting any hibernating creature out of its winter abode.

"The presentation of something more than just a musician, but a true artist; working with everyone who can collaborate to make all aspects of art. A cohesion of collective consciousness and innovation. What I want to achieve is greatness, in all aspects from the music, promotional art to the stage shows. T R I P C I K aka Joseph Law (Born Feb 24th 1986), is an unsigned electronic, experimental pop artist & music producer based between London and Berlin. The music is delicate and intrinsic. “A Mechanical Skeleton”, with electronic 2 steps beats at the core, layered with an organic skin of pianos & strings of retrospective trip hop.

The year is 2012. The city is London. Hidden beneath the mounds of disgarded polystyrene pie and mash trays and crumpled club flyers that have gathered in the shadows cast by weekend party venues, is an entance to a secret underground bunker. 

Deep inside this mysterious base a group of friends have been hurriedly working around the clock, wielding soldering irons and making the final adjustments to a piece of hardware so powerful it is said that when this super synth is played it unleashes melodic stabs so twisted they warp the minds of all those within ear shot.

Leo Chilcott and Erin Davies were once strangers to each other. Going about their weekly routines of drab 9-5's, chortling at the latest hipster fashions and trying to avoid being run over by mustache touting fashionistas on trendy fixed wheel bicycles whilst crossing Bethnal Green Road.

Little did they know this was all going to change and that they would never be the same again. One weekend, whilst stumbling out of an all night future techno rave at 7am they felt individual taps on their shoulders. Before they could utter a word bags were thrown over their heads, they were bundled into the back of a van and the next thing they were concious of was being in what appeared to be a dark windowless locked cell. They were flanked by three strange looking angry men, one with a shiny head, one looking somewhat hairy, drunk and dishevelled and a third disguised beneath plain black sunglasses but sounding like he could be a real life member of the Shameless Maguires. These three men demanded that they play the strange looking synth sat in front of them if they wanted to see the grey East London skies ever again.

They had little choice but to comply.

Night Symmetry were born.

Siberia. A cold, desolate place deep in the Northern hemisphere, famous for its exiled criminals, roaming wolf packs, nuclear power stations, cold weather and some deluded Jesus-a-like called Sergei who claims to be 'Vissarion' ("He who brings new life").

It comes as no surprise that the youth of Siberia have been locking themselves in the warmth of their studios and becoming increasingly more creative over recent years.

Roby Howler is one of the talented youngsters leading the charge.

The lead track was first heard back in 2011 when the label licensed it to Elite for use in the final catwalk show of the 28th Edition their much viewed Model Look competition. It has since been re-mastered for the dancefloor.
