The FOOTSTEP compilation, curated by OBL/QUE, makes its return. This second installment consists of two separate releases: the first, consisting of 5 tracks, focuses on Drum'n'bass, Jungle and Footwork; while the second, available a week later and consisting of 4 tracks, explores sounds ranging between Dubstep, Breaks and Techno. All the producers involved come from Sardinia, demonstrating once again the solidity and steady growth of the Sardinian bass music scene, which continues to involve new realities and already well-known artists.

Up and down the country we are seeing more and more issues with event companies and party starting platforms being put into a position where they are unable to operate, of course due to this Covid-19 situation that continues to sweep the globe. The other side to this however is that we are starting to also see lots of those platforms change their course of the direction for the time being, instead choosing to focus their efforts and attention towards to the releasing and promotion of top quality original creations.

Across Brighton's vibrant bass community, In The Face is a brand that is hailed, as their super popular events continue to supply a combination of old school and new breed DJ's, with their line ups often proving to be the most enticing in the town, seeing their nights ram out nearly every time! They have decided to switch the pattern as we mentioned above, unleashing an absolute monster of a drop, bringing together four fabulous faces for an old school 4x4 shell out.

Into the mixing pot go the combined abilities and attributes of Coxon, Krissi B, Jez & Jodie C to create 'Don't Want To Sleep', a project we can only describe as a weapon, a track so smashed full of violent bassline synthesizer slaps and system-ready drum skips, that we can already see the damage this one will be causing in the dances up and down the country come the end of lockdown as we know it!

It has an emotional introduction with distant string lines and stunning vocal displays coming into harmony, before the devilish basslines arrive come the drop, over which Jez lays some heavyweight vocal toasting with some nostalgic grimey flows.

The release also comes complete with powerful remix additions from the likes of King Hydra, Zemon & Hurtdeer, making this a very highly recommended drop from us for the 4x4 raving crew. We are thrilled to get involved with this one as we unveil our official premiere of the original version of the track.
