With the sound of Drumcode’s 15 Year anniversary still ringing in the ears of those who attended one of the labels special tour events or bought the commemorative compilation, Adam Beyer’s seminal Techno label dusts down the bunting and rolls out the party banners once again this month to celebrate the labels landmark 100th release. With such longevity being a mark of the consistency that has come to define Drumcode’s output over the years, it is highly appropriate that this milestone occasion be marked by releasing two new Adam Beyer tracks, The Color Out Of Space and Lovecraft, a collaboration with Ida Engberg, that follows up her Blue Yonder EP from September 2011

Drumcode mark their landmark 100th release with a two-track EP that comes directly from the heart of the label’s operation. Just as with the label’s first release sixteen years ago, Adam Beyer positions himself at the controls, unleashing the shimmering ‘The Color Out Of Space’ with its euphoric melody riding on the back of nagging chords and booming kick. A product of Beyer’s studio collaboration with Ida Engberg, ‘Lovecraft’ takes its place on the b-side, cutting a trippy journey through distinctive chord patterns and undulating melodies that bounce around in the mix, underpinned by a heads-down groove.

Marco Bailey seems to be unstoppable and strikes back on his special MBR imprint with another slamming 2-tracker. ''Drizzle'' and ''Injection'' are his new toys that guarantee some flaming action on the dancefloors. Special guest as remixer on duty for this release, is Argentina's finest Flug, offering a brilliant remake on ''Drizzle''. A package that is going definitely going to satisfy even the most demanding clubber.

Sidney Charles, a name that's been on the tip of everyone's tongue of late, drops a stellar three-track EP via Jaymo & Andy George's Moda Black imprint this July, entitled 'Going Down'. Hamburg, Germany based producer Sidney Charles has been on a continual rise to fame over the past few years, dropping material on labels such as I'm A House Gangster, ViVa, Sci + Tec and Avotre. Charles has topped Resident Advisor's 100 Most Charted tracks recently and gained a residency at Tribal Sessions, Sankeys, Ibiza, a telling sign of the quality embodied in both his productions and DJ sets. Here we see Sidney join the infamous Moda Black imprint, joining the likes of Hot Since 82, Ejeca and Hauswerks on the roster. Title cut 'Going Down' opens things up, seeing Charles offer up his signature dance floor focused style with classic, heavily swung house rhythms, a raw bumpy bass hook, retro string stabs and a wandering, rugged synth lined, resulting in a quintessential house cut which oozes charm. Following is 'Warehouse Anthem' which as the name would suggest tips the focus over to a dark and brooding vibe, Sidney employs boomy, reverberated drum sounds with bubbling atmospherics, menacing synth sounds and hypnotizing acidic tinges, again creating something understated and packing a punch. Then last up to round off the package we have 'Hurricane', a brilliant closing piece which veers the aesthetic over to a more organic feel with natural percussive elements and rounded sub-bass tones, while an amalgamation of spoken-word vocal lines and crowd recordings generate a profound depth tucked away in the background of the composition.

Gregor Tresher kicks off 2015 looking to break new soil with his first ever full release for John Digweed's Bedrock Records.   

Last year was as hectic as ever for the Gregor and he came into it on high from the success of his artist album Nightcolours and having closed out 2013 by releasing an astonishing Laurent Garnier remix of the title track, on his own imprint.   Time to relax a little maybe? Not a chance. January saw the remixed version of the album hit the stores and this was backed within a few weeks by 'Taurus', Gregor's enticing collaboration with Petar Dundov. The summer saw him remix the Chymera classic 'Shadowdancer' and he closed 2014 with the superb 'Midas / Disturber' double-header.   

Somewhat of a musical chameleon, Tresher is as at home creating deeper shades of house for the likes of Moon Harbour and Ovum as he is techno rhythms for Music Man, Cocoon and Drumcode.   With label boss Digweed a huge fan, Bedrock is yet another perfect fit for the German and he opens his account with the mighty, melodic and Kraken'esque 'Goliath' and the razor-sharp lightning bolt that is 'Stormblade'.

Moudaber goes deep…. Yes, our beloved MOOD leader returns home with her latest single and a track that may surprise some, as Nicole gets her Dub on. 

Known for her fierce and electrifying prime time sets and powerful personal productions, Nicole is equally adept and at home building the floor and atmosphere from the very first beat. New single, Her Dub Material, is the perfect soundtrack for those early hours and takes influence from Nicole&#8217;s love for deep, warm, fathomless bass. Mysterious and yet inviting, Her Dub Material is built upon an unswerving groove. Strong, elegant and hypnotic. 

Staying true to the original whilst enticing with his own percussive flair is Argentinian producer Guti. Rising from humble beginnings like Icarus heading towards the skies, Singularity plots its course for the stratosphere as it heads ever onwards and upwards…but unlike Icarus this is a tempered and restrained ascent not an easy task to pull off but one that makes the impact so much stronger for it's subtle, ever evolving simplicity. 

With a melody that comes on like a half-remembered memory and lingers long after the sound itself fades away, Singularity stays with you, slowly and carefully weaving its way around you while its drums beat a steady, forceful pulse and its percussion jumps in and out like Billy Pilgrim skipping thru time. The combined effect is something much more than the sum of its parts. Somehow this simple techno tune creates an entire world of its own and asks you to inhabit it for a while, losing yourself in the process..

On the flip side, Monoloc exercises an equal and proportional restraint in his take on things. Like a voice emerging from a faded dream, the melody peeks out behind a curtain of reverb and industrial drums compellingly foreshadowing its full potential. Growing from there, the atmosphere slowly engulfs the listener until finally the slow build up reaches its full force providing a fantastic re-imagining of the original with an almost romantic yet no less powerful conclusion.

Tresor Records marks its 250th release with a very special project indeed. Continuing to forge ahead whilst remaining ever mindful of its legacy, Tresor proudly presents Infiniti - The Remixes: a trilogy of classic cuts and new reworks from one of its original Detroit linchpins Juan Atkins.

Dubbed as his “pure techno” project, Atkins produced two full-length albums under the Infiniti moniker—The Infiniti Collection, released by Tresor in 1996, and Skynet two years later. 16 years on and they are as relevant today as they were pioneering then, brought further up-to-date here with a series of fresh takes from some of techno’s pioneering and esteemed figures: Thomas Fehlmann, TV Victor, Function, Redshape, Sleeparchive and the re-release of dubtechno vanguard Moritz Von Oswald's remix of "Think Quick", originally released in '94 on Metroplex.

Part One - The Orb’s Thomas Fehlmann picked two tracks, one in each album, to form a very special combo-mix. The shimmering “Walking On Water” and "Raindrops" come together in a beautiful old-school sounding version. Tresor Records ambient stalwart TV Victor plies his vision to present a hypnotic take on the gently elevating “Thought Process”. 

Part Two picks up the pace, heading further down the timeline with “Flash Food”—originally released in 1995 as part of one of the label’s famous annual compilations, re-edited by Sandwell District’s Function. Skynet’s punchy classic on the flip, “Skyway” rounds off the EP with a killer old-school remix by techno’s masked crusader Redshape.

Part Three concludes with a remix package of The Infiniti Collection’s brooding slow-burner “Think Quick”, backed with an offering from one of Berlin’s revered electronic practitioners Sleeparchive and the re-release of Moritz Von Oswald's remix, initially released on Metroplex in 1994 - a rarity.
