The Launch of Gassed Records!

As a label we were extremely happy with 2018 and our stamp on it, which is why we intend to keep up the same level energy as we traverse into an even more exciting 2019. We are therefore very proud to present this brand new compilation from us, featuring some of our favourite bass artists who have supplied us with some incredible original creations. 

We have assembled an awesome team of producers to bring forth the fire, including the likes of INVRSE, Axelboy & Skippit, who all bring some exciting original designs to the table. We also have Blvckmore, Harry Tremlett, Nu Aspect and our very own Luke Randall & KAKE dipping into the pot with a bag of explosive future bass flavours, arranging monstrous 4x4 designs for us all to enjoy. At this point it’s clear to see for us that the levels within this release are constantly rising the further in we delve. 

The heavyweight styles then continue to flow as we also invite in the recently hailed Wheeto, along with Kissa, Jay Faded and Brent Kilner in to bless us with yet more incredible production work, hitting every niche within the bassline bracket and rounding up what we feel is a fantastic representation of the Gassed sound. We are continuously looking to push bass music around the UK, be it via official studio mixes or stacked releases such as this, which make a massive difference in raising the notoriety of the producers on our roster.

After a pretty lucrative year, we are thrilled to be bringing @skippit to the forefront of our Gassed Records Compilation which is jam packed from start to finish with bangers. At Gassed, there are few things we enjoy more than truly creative, original underground bass music, and that is exactly what @invrsemusic has provided us here as we unveil this absolute weapon of a riddim which goes by the name of ‘Poltergeist’. Since leading the launch of the now infamous Lengoland label, @wheetomusic has gained some serious momentum in and around the bass scene, making him an almost instant fan favourite. 

He gets busy with his piece for our Bass Invaders compilation here on a naughty little number by the name of ‘Bury Dem’. If you are a fan of niche fusion, look no further as Wheeto brings an array of lethal bass sounds to life, scattering them wildly across super skippy 4x4 drum rhythms and topping them with a classic ‘Bury MCs’ vocal sample, which first appears across the track’s epic introduction.

From a production and DJ point of view, there are few who have kept it as consistent as Rotherham’s @brent_kilner_music who has been at the forefront of cutting edge 4x4 bass music since way before it’s recent rise to prominence. He joins the Bass Invaders compilation roster with his wavy original entitled ‘Wake Up’, and it’s likely to make you do just that. Brent gets busy on this one, letting lose his recognisable signature synthesizer design across a molten bad of sharp drum creations and almost eskimo style pad stabs, rendering this one an absolute beast.

@Blvckmore has provided us with some absolute fire here on a track which goes by the name of P1X3L. From the jump you can tell exactly what you are in for as muffled, grizzly tones make immerse themselves in the background atmospherics, leading towards a monumental breakdown. At this point we are greeted by a party of robotic synthesizers and choppy bass sounds, all working in partnership to provide us with a truly explosive start.

As a producer and DJ, Bristol’s @Nuaspect needs no introduction, having amassed fearsome appearances as both a DJ and producer on CruCast and Rinse.FM in the last few months. His track for our long awaited Bass Invaders compilation goes by the name of ‘Hunters’ and is a straight bass roller, which in its creation has the capability to turn any dance to a zoo. We are greeted across the introduction with a bag of spacey atmospherics and distant bass tones, which proceed to take the lead as we hit the gargantuan drop, shaking the ground beneath our feet with it’s monstrous bass designs.

As one of the stand our emergents of 2018, it’s safe to say that Exeter’s @harrytremlett is hot on a lot of radars right now. We are thrilled to have him involved with the Bass Invaders project alongside hosting the long awaited release of his highly celebrated ‘Brain Food’ original. For us this one is an absolute corker, taking a more techy stripped back route in It’s composition, dipping between subtle sub bass LFO movements and lively synthesizer splashes alongside charming breaksy bridges and catchy high end percussive melodies. Harry has certainly gifted us with this one!

We are very happy to be welcoming @Kissauk back to the Gassed page, this time with a very wavy contribution to our Bass Invaders compilation with an absolute cracker. From his previous release ‘Uno’, we knew that Kissa was a beast, and he is now back in staggering form with a new track entitled ‘Report’, jam packed to the rafters with tasty bass treats and monumental grooves. With lead synths sharp enough to slice through iron rails, this one is a dancefloor weapon if ever we heard one, perfect for the late night ravers. We are very excited to see what Kissa has in store for us across 2019
