The latest release from Clubsonica Records welcomes Kabi to the label for his debut EP. As a fresh name, the Argentinean artist first appeared on the progressive music underground in 2019 with a contribution to the Soundteller Records 'ADE Sampler'. The year also yielded an EP for long standing Russian imprint BQ Recordings. Now following his well received 'Aequilibrium' single, Kabi debuts on Clubsonica with 'Cuarzo | Open Road' alongside remixes from Ryan Wallace and Oliver and Tom.

Beginning with 'Cuarzo' Kabi crafts a timeless slice of progressive house. Sitting at the heart of the creation is a warm, rolling groove and fluid rhythmic core. Energetic and driving, its hopeful nature is inviting as airy atmospheres, fragmented arps and trailing effects make for an engaging journey. The narrative comes to full fruition during the main break, melting down to a collage of wavy artefacts and cinematic overlays, before a timely build sparks a powerful drop and cosmic finale. The companion piece 'Open Road' comes in a touch deeper and equally groovy, making it a perfect complement to its predecessor. Warm beats, rolling rhythms and calming atmospheres begin the nine-minute journey. Senses heighten as ghosting vocals and playful arps unite across a smooth first act. Percussive flurries and charming melodies further advance the narrative, flowing effortlessly into an impassioned break. Emotive and meditative in equal measure, the interlude saturates your senses with fragmented cascades running through tasteful modulation, before getting washed away in an exhilarating crescendo and purring final movement.

The lone interpretation of 'Cuarzo' is provided by Ryan Wallace who makes his label debut. The Scottish artist has been a fixture of the progressive music scene for over a decade. Releases on Balkan Connection and Polyptych highlight his discography, while a unique DJ style has seen him delight crowds at Eden, Zoo Project and Sankeys, while also opening for Carl Cox at Space Ibiza. Now making his first appearance on Clubsonica, Ryan delivers a powerful rendition of 'Cuarzo'. Opting for a distinctly modern approach, the Scottish artist reshapes the groove into a wave of rippling bass. A tight rhythmic core coupled with astral arps and fresh electronics set the stage for a series of deadly transitions and unpredictable shifts. Otherworldly in feel, it transfers energy into an expansive break which ultimately sits at the heart of the track. Sure to capture the imagination of your dance floor, the centrepiece is highlighted by a symphonic build, before the rumbling groove drops for a storming finish.

Rounding out the release and providing the lone interpretation of 'Open Road' are Oliver and Tom. The Argentinean duo first came to the attention of progressive music fans in March of 2019 with a contribution to The Soundgarden's 'Miami Sampler'. Finding a comfortable home on Nick Warren's burgeoning imprint the duo then went on to release their 'Forgotten' EP later that same year. Subsequent releases for Balkan Connection, Balance Music and onedotsixtwo further established Oliver and Tom as a creative force. Now adding Clubsonica to their impressive resume, the duo provides an inspired take on 'Open Road'. Fluid and groovy in equal measure, it's a mix that carries the sensibility of the original, while adding a sleeker, more emotive vibe. Building beautifully, spiralling arps and poignant chord changes elevate mood across the first act, as luminous tones provide a transition into a glowing main break and reflective finale. A stunning rendition from the fast rising Argentinean duo, rounding out another must have offering from Clubsonica Records.
