Anton Spice is a broadcaster and journalist from the UK. He is founding editor of The Vinyl Factory online magazine, co-runs Dislo Publishing, has written and produced music documentaries, has contributed words to multiple publications and liner notes, and appeared on NTS, Worldwide FM, Dublab, and now - Friendly Potential Radio. 

"Like any good daydream, this mix isn't particularly linear. Instead, it moves between scenes, moods and sequences, loosely inspired by the title of Takami Hasegawa's only album L'Ecume de Jours (itself named after Boris Vian's 1947 novel, Froth on the Daydream). When I first heard the track of hers I've included, it totally blew my socks off - a jazzy little ballad, tinged with melancholy and outrageous orchestral flourishes. It has a baroque, melodramatic quality that I think you get in a lot of the less mainstream pop, synth and new wave from the mid '80s. On the one hand, the rhythms and melodies are punchy and full of confidence, and then on the other, there is a naïve, nostalgic strangeness to the song-writing, so aware of its own fast-fading youth that it almost melts away completely. If there's a feeling I wanted to capture with the mix then it is this contrast, between vivid technicolour and hazy drift."

Since then he began digging deep into local record shops and discogs, and also got into producing, with his first release appearing last year on the double label collab 'Household Chiors' by Ears on Earth and Super Utu. Since about 1 1/2 years he's providing the internet with unheard rare rips on his YouTube Channel "Rips In Peace". 
Recently he got deep into 90s Techno, Goa Trance & Ambient with itchy Acid Basslines, Tabla Drones and dreamy Arpeggios.

Now located on the one and only one hill of the inner part of NK, shades of shapes can be usually seen in the early morning hours, slightly moving behind the multi color fringe door curtains. Stuck in between perdition and education, this institution should be understood as way much more than only that. Hideout for bright dreams and lost wishes, the OTB offered and still offers a shelter for a whole musical and artistic scene, always dedicated to those who know how and those who don't know how at the same time, always without distinction.
In this 7 hour radio show you will hear what a night or week of O Tannenbaum might sound like. There are 9 mixes, 7 by Tannenbaum resident DJ's and 2 by their owners, both from the Netherlands, Pieter Kock aka DJ Peacock and Hamy Caldwell aka Squeaky.

Thanks to our dear friends from Endless Illusion we had an opportunity to meet and warmly welcome another great DJ and records lover - Sacha Mambo. When he's not DJing all over the world, Sacha runs the esteemed Macadam Mambo record label in Lyon. Accompanied by his fellow-criminal Guillaume Des Bois he have played a big part in developing the local scene from 2010 and guided a generation of many rising talents. As we did, just listen and enjoy at least a bit of his knowledge of rare gems and infectious oddball obscurities recorded at Luft towards the end of February.
