There is a lot of end time talk going around. The question is “what will the days leading up to the Lord’s return look like”? So many people have their own ideas, but what can we expect? It’s important for Christians to know what God has to say about this, and so we need to let Scripture speak for itself. Our faith must rest on the Word of God!

That Great Day - The Day Of The Lord & The End Of All Things - Part 1

In the last days there will be a great falling away of people who previously professed to be Christians but, if we are the elect of God, we will not be deceived. From the scriptures we see that there will be:
† a great falling away,
† great deception,
† a false ‘peace’ proclaimed,
† the working of lawlessness,
† a fake ‘Godliness’,
† lying signs and wonders,
† the man of sin will move into the temple claiming to be God.

What are we as Christians supposed to do? We are to stay in the Word of God and stick to the five Sola’s of the reformation –
† Scripture alone,
† Christ alone,
† Grace alone,
† Faith alone, and
† the glory of God alone.

We as Christians need to be careful of the SPIRIT OF THIS AGE.

That Great Day - The Day Of The Lord & The End Of All Things - Part 2

“Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. He himself shall dwell in prosperity, and his descendants shall inherit the earth. The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant. My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He shall pluck my feet out of the net.”  Psalm 25:12-15 (NKJV)

The Secret Things Of The Lord

When someone is humble they are focused on God and others, not on themselves. A humble person’s goal with his life is to glorify God and to encourage others. A humble person’s desire is to please God in all things. Humility is honestly assessing ourselves in the light of God’s holiness and our own sinfulness. Pride is at the root of all conflicts but humility is the foundation of all Godly relationships.

The Right Disposition

The Greek word for church is “Ecclesia” which means “called out ones”.  We are the Lord’s body and are part of His vine, a holy temple, each one a living stone being built up into the house of God.  The Church is an institution ordained of God to carry the “Keys of the Kingdom” to unlock the grace and mercy of God by preaching the Word to a lost and dying generation.
As Gateway Christian Family Church, we are a local church that:
† ministers the sacraments of communion and baptism,
† takes in members,
† has authority in office bearers (Senior Pastor, Elders, Leaders and Ministers),
† recognize the 5-fold ministry (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher),
† ministers necessary discipline of the saints.
