The touch point here might be "Babylon" by David Gray, a pop rock hit (in the adult album alternative genre) that mixed a dance sensibility to a male singer-songwriter type of tune.  

I think I've managed something akin to that here, though...of course, in a very Interbay sort of way.  

The obvious point of difference is the vocal.  David Gray is...David Gray.  I am not, and until I feel more comfortable recording my own vocals, I'm going to rely on other sources...and that will always make Interbay songs feel a bit different.    

This is a dance song with real percussion, real piano...this is an indie pop rock song with Morodor-y synth bass, trance gated backing vocals, and other technical twists.  (I think I put a flanger on the piano--and you think I'd know! ;) )  

The end result is rather pleasant but it still has the drive and bounce of a danceable tune.  

I daren't say that I like this one--that seems to be the curse of death for Interbay songs getting listens, for some reason.  (The most recent example being "All of the Science" from a couple of days ago--so, if you have the time and haven't checked that track out, I would appreciate you giving that track a listen if you get into this track.)  

Yes, this means I'm asking for you to listen to two tracks today.  I think they're worth it.  Especially now that I've condemned them both to their fate.  :(  

I had something noisy and epic in mind for today, but I woke up today feeling much more pleasant and far less aggressive--and "Opportune" is the better tune for that vibe.
