I’m in a cosmic dance, a celestial ballet.
Mind in the vastness, for all of the day.
I’m caught in the whim of the starry array,
And my will to stay here has faded away.

Beneath the breadth of the endless night,
I’m stuck to this earth, No freedom in sight.
Gravity's grip, it holds me so tight,
While space beckons with her infinite light.

Her plasma, it’s filled with gasses and fields,
Nutrinos and rays, the radiation she yields.
They say that she’s cold, but that not how it feels,
I’d go with no suit, I’m head over heels. 

Out through the clouds, I flirt with my muse,
When she beckons and calls, I can barely refuse.
I want to break free, to leap from these shoes,
But this battle is rigged, and I’m certain to lose.

Nature, she wants me home on these rocks,
But outer space is a stone cold fox.

In ebb and flow with this cosmic tide,
I would dance on the edge where the worlds collide.
I’m ready to cross that galactic divide,
Yet, in gravity’s mind, I belong on this side.

The vacuum, it whispers in silence I’m told,
Stories of worlds a billion years old.
I want to break loose from gravity’s hold,
But I’m simply too weak, truth to be told.

The stars, they witness my cosmic plight,
Glued to the earth but bathed in their light.
While gravity grips me with all of it’s might,
And the spirit within me tries to take flight.

The cosmic currents, they feel so near,
I’m desperate to surf that heliosphere.
Hanging eleven without any fear
Like a freaky, naked, space pioneer.
 
Y'know, nature, she wants me home on these rocks,
But outer space is a stone cold fox.

I want to take part in this astral ballet,
I beg for destiny to whisk me away.
But gravity's force is still in play,
Its grip ever tighter, day after day.

I fight and I struggle to shake off the cuffs,
But whatever I do, it’s never enough.
I thought I break loose but gravity’s tough,
My attempts to escape, summarily snuffed.

Now I fall limp and struggle no more,
Once bound for the sky, I’m grounded ashore.
My affair with the lights I so dearly adore,
Will just have to wait a little while more.

One day I’ll wrest my self from these bonds,
Bid my adieu to the trees and the ponds.
Weightless I’ll be, no stones, pounds or maunds,
With no need to speak cause no-one responds.

Strictly improvisatory approach, first take of what came to my mind off the top of my head. We Try

Violin has been a lifelong passion of mine.   I've traversed many different genres of music and collaborated with many wonderful people.  The bulk of my influences come from South Indian, Western classical, ethnic, American Tribal Style, folk and rock genres.
