His Up The Attic EP is a luxurious blend of house ranging from the more jackin’ warehouse style of ‘Jackstion’, to the sensuous bassline roller ‘Let J Say’. He then takes you on a powerful deeper journey with ‘That Reminds Me’ and he rounds off the EP with the lofty and effervescenttitle track ‘Up TheAttic’, making this an essential must have for those who like their music, intelligent, understated yet highly danceable and chic.

For waxcast number 20 we welcome Welsh DJ and label owner, Gavin Hogan. Honing his craft over the past 22 years, Gavin's sound is a mixture of deep, minimal, dubby and, sometimes tech-infused grooves.  Gavin runs the popular North Wales party Strictly Underground.  Starting in 2013 it specialises in booking local talent alongside guests such as Adam Shelton, Tristan Da Cunha and Lauren Lo Sung, and also includes our very own Bare Bones (David Moran and Louis Hughes) on a regular basis.  The success of this party has seen him become a regular at many events, such as Gottwood festival and local night Manipulate_ .

To push forward in the scene Gavin started his record label and brand Floorpiece five years ago along with its subsidiary labels Doppel-Audio, Silhouetted and One Of 4.  All imprints are going from strength to strength gaining support from some of the scene’s big hitters.  This mix is a 4 hour workout which takes the listener on a real music journey, showcasing Gav’s unique DJ style.
