"Rockets," the 12th symphony by Namasthay, is a sonic departure towards minimalism and purity. Stripping back the layers to reveal the core of electronic synthesis, this album is a reverent nod to the space race, a time when eyes gazed upwards and the stars were the limit.

With no vocals to guide the narrative, "Rockets" speaks through oscillations and frequency shifts, invoking the simplicity of early electronic compositions. It's an auditory homage to the marvels of space exploration, to the potential of what we can achieve when we channel our efforts not into conflict, but into the boundless pursuit of discovery and understanding beyond our world.

Embedded within the simplicity are subtle homages - a conceptual tribute to the soaring sounds of The Police and the thoughtful lyrics of Sting, and distorted reflections of the raw energy of Yellow and Nirvana. Yet, these tributes are not evident at first listen, requiring the audience to engage deeply with the soundscape and unravel the layers of homage themselves.

"Rockets" is an album for contemplation, an invitation to listeners to embark on a celestial journey powered by the imagination and fueled by the spirit of cosmic curiosity.

This is my third composition inspired by the wonderful pivot cards created by @soundbymark (available at soundbymark.bandcamp.com/merch/pivot-…or-musicians).

I drew three cards and this time got the following words:
DIVIDE BURST GROW

In the beginning the simple piano-melody is played by one piano, and after a while the DIVIDE begins: The notes are more and more divided into groups and assigned to different pianos with different effects.
This leads to a GROW of the ambiance as more and more additional sounds join.
There is no real BURST in the end, more a sudden relaxation and all the grown sounds vanish.

"Namasthay: Beats of Shyness could be the biopic that traces the unconventional journey of a visionary artist whose life is as eclectic as his music. The film opens with young Namasthay carving through untouched snow, creating videos with snowboarding icon Axel Pauporté, embodying the free spirit that would define his career. From shredding slopes to shredding riffs, he co-founds a punk-rock band playing occasionally with bassist Red Bull's daredevil Cedric Dumont, though they remain enigmatically nameless.

At university, a chance encounter on a motor skateboard catches the eye of a producer, catapulting Namasthay to become the face of extreme sports in Brussels on the national stage of RTL TV. With diploma in hand, he dives into the pulsating heart of CyberTheatre and Nirvanet's underground music scene, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Howie B and Laurent Garnier, while Björk's creative aura leaves an indelible mark.

Namasthay's sonic palette deepens, drawing from his brother Alex's collection of Ninja Tune records, immersing him in the breaks and beats that would fuel his own artistic fire. His flair for performance doesn't go unnoticed; film school projects lead to appearances in A6000 and Akro's (Universal) Hip Hop Videos, casting him as an unlikely bridge between the worlds of authority and street culture in 1030 Brussels.

The narrative weaves through Namasthay's evolution as an artist, from a local sensation to a music arranger collaborating with the likes of Piccaya, kindling a friendship and musical partnership that burns bright. The influence of Boards of Canada’s mystic and emotive soundscapes acts as a backdrop to his own maturation, as he moves from the underground scenes to the forefront of spontaneous music creation, embodying the alter ego of Namasthay, his longstanding deviantArt moniker.

He now launches with these albums as Namasthay a new movement of Emo-Spontaneity past-O-present where everything is improvised, sang for the first time, and composed on the go, an ode to spontaneous musical creation where perfection is in the birth of the act.

"Namasthay: Beats of Shyness” celebrates the artist's unwavering dedication to his craft, the rich broadlight of his experiences, and his belief in music as an unscripted journey, much like his own – a melody that plays to the rhythm of life's serendipitous turns.
