Gaya has established herself as one of the brightest talents to emerge from the Beirut scene in recent years, combining passion, integrity and talent to launch a successful multi-faceted career. She was born and raised in the Beirut scene on the ever flowing current of electronic music coming from the city.
Gaya discovered her interest in music at a very young age. Her lifelong love affair with house, techno and breaks began when she experienced club music first-hand at B018. That was when she began to delve deeper into electronic music discovering a whole new world of artists, labels and records. Thus, she got her first residency at “Peachpuff”. Gaya’s sound is full of soul aimed straight to the dance floor. Her DJ style is as varied as her taste in music not limiting herself to a certain sound. Through playing in the biggest clubs in region (B018, The Garten, The Grand Factory), she has played along some of the greats of the electronic music scene including La Fleur, Henry Saiz, NTFO, Agents of time, Martin Buttrich, Cassegrain, Estroe… On the other side, Gaya has revealed her interest in music production as she started working on her skills and discovering the sound she wants to produce. Her first release will be on Arab House Collective “AHC”.

Nantes-based Lebanese DJ and member of French collective, Contre Temps, Gaya, emerges as one of the rising artists currently spearheading Beirut’s flourishing electronic music scene. Her musical journey and lifelong love affair with electro, jungle, bass and trap music began when she first joined ‘Peach Puff Bass Unit’, a music collection based between Paris and Beirut. With her dynamic sets, featuring heavy bass waves and breaks, Gaya has been firing up decks across Europe, from Berlin’s Sisphos and Bulbul to Nantes’ Trempolino and CO2, and Paris’ L’ international. 

For Select 232, Gaya crafted an hour-long set of jungle, featuring high-energy sweltering breakbeats, and thumping basslines. The set features eclectic tunes like Amor Satyr’s ‘Bebe’, Dunman’s ‘Abyss’, and Dual Monitor’s ‘Switch it’.
