la`too has always had a soft spot for sounds on the border of Indie Dance and Progressive. He loves to manoeuvre between the worlds of melancholic electro and strong and dynamic Dark Disco. He represents the @pozytyvka collective from Gorzów on a daily basis, and also collaborates as a promoter with German label @artminding and Hungarian label @bemassive, among others. He is the founder of the @deephousemelodic music blog, which was originally designed to promote the local electronic scene beyond the borders of Poland in the form of a podcast series called LOCAL SUPER HEROES. As he himself says, it is his "apple of the eye" and currently features representatives from foreign labels such as @watergaterecords, @rebelliondertraumer, and @diynamic-music. He had the pleasure of presenting his sets at venues such as Obra Festival, Wonderlake, Hala Odra, Ciało, Pokój, and After Ego.

STIMMULUS Podcast 27 - la'too

Definitely one of the hightlights of this year so far: A full loaded Westerunie on Liberty Day! We celebaretd freedom, it was a blast!

Over the past year, I took a break for a few months. In the meanwhile I have been further developing my sound. This is set, which was live recorded in the Westerunie Amsterdam, is a relfection of these developments.

It still has the ingredients of the past but clearly in a different coting. Let me know your thougths and feedback. Which track do you like most? :)

Hey music lovers! This weekend we are in Portugal with Marcelo Malta, aka “MLTX”, who started his story with music when very young, mentored by his father, a multi-instrumentalist, who put him in contact with harmonies and rhythms. Drummer & Musician by vocation since he was 12, part of Hardcore, Punk Rock, and Heavy Metal authorial bands. In 2015 he started attending big festivals and parties, developing an affection for Techno and listening to renowned names, who influenced his musical taste. But only in 2020 during the pandemic, a friend encouraged him to start DJing, and since then he has been playing parties, and podcasts. With an ongoing label project birth, MLTX DJ sets emerge a #fusiontechno strand, a mixture of Techno, Indie Dance & Dark Disco tunes, performing strong and dance rhythms like a real drummer.

Marcelo Malta, aka “MLTX” began his career in music at a very young age, guided by his father, a multi-instrumentalist. Gary Numan once asked, "Are friends electric?“ We have been fascinated by his electronic music and that of other artists like Kraftwerk, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Giorgio Moroder together with our eternal Disco-Queen Donna Summer. Later Frankie Knuckles brought house music into gay clubs - places where avant-garde has always had its home. 

Electronic music has never been as diverse as it is today. But we are tired of commercial gay parties and boring electronic music for the masses or always the same top 40 remixes again and again. We like it deep, underground and a little funky.

GAYLECTRO is part of a movement to return gay clubbing back to its roots. We believe in the principle of diversity and the influence of different cultures into music - for instance electronic music in Asia has influences other than that of South America or Africa. There are so many different, talented artists in the world. We want to discover them and their diversity.

That´s why we only promote DJs, tracks, events and clubs that have electronic music we truly stand behind. We collaborate with DJs, promoters and anyone who is LGTBQ-friendly, open-minded, and just as passionate about electronic music as we are. GAYLECTRO is our attempt to encourage people to try something new and to turn gay clubs and events into avant-garde places again.
