Denny S steht seit 25 Jahren hinterm Mischpult und hat schon so manche House-, Techno- und Trancephase miterlebt. Doch eins ist ihm stets auf seinem langen Weg als Raver und vor allem als DJ treu geblieben, die Melodie, denn ohne geht eigentlich nichts in seinen Sets. Eintönigkeit und Belanglosigkeit in Tracks mag er so gar nicht. Es muss was passieren, was ihn kitzelt.
Nachdem sich die Tanz- & Firlefanz-Crew 2019 zurückzog, schloss Denny sich der Zwischenmiete-Crew an, die bis zur Corona-clubfreien-Zeit regelmäßig das Artheater mit Melodic Techno und ihrer wunderschönen Deko und Herzlichkeit verzauberte. Wo wir beim Thema wären: Melodic Techno – dafür schlägt Dennys Herz, denn genau da sind die Elemente der elektronischen Musik drin, die für ihn den Kitzel ergeben und die für ihn die Musik ein ums andere Mal zu einem echten Lebenselixier werden lassen. -how did that happen: I've always loved electronic music and had been going to events regularly for many years. I'd also met most of my closest friends on a dancefloor in previous years, with a few of them already playing within the music industry. My partner had been encouraging me to try learning to mix for years, and one day I finally decided to give it a go...I instantly fell in love with it. 

-genre: the genre of this podcast is melodic techno & house. My favourite genres are progressive house and deep/melodic techno & house. 

-favourite place: Berlin

-favourite track (for the moment): Rainbow- Matan Caspi 

-favourite food: ...such a tough question. I love food. My life revolves around my stomach. I love Japanese food; so I'd say Ramen is one of my favourite foods. 

-other hobbies: travelling, running, cooking, going to the beach (my happy place), partying (of course :P ) 

-places where I want to play: I was really lucky to achieve one of my dreams of playing at Revolver Upstairs earlier this year. The big dream would be to play at a well known festival in Victoria (anc across the world) called Rainbow Serpent. It has the most incredible prog/melodic techno from artists across the world and the most unique vibes out of any festival I've experienced around the world. I would also love to have the opportunity to play at Kater Blau and Sisyphos one day in the future :) 

-where do I see my musical future: playing events and festivals that showcase more progressive/melodic music. I've also been learning music production and would like to release my own tracks eventually. 

-upcoming events: I'm due to play at a small day Festival in a couple of weeks, and also to play at the next instalment of Mama Said the next day (which is my favourite event in Melbourne at the moment). 

- I want to get rid of: In an ideal world I would love to get rid of the judgemental stigma that sometimes occurs when people see older people partying at events (probably much more common in Australia as we're sometimes more conservative than Europe with the views on partying). The love of music doesn't fade with age, so i think it's great that people continue to go to events at any stage of their lives :) 

-message for the Weltenblummer podcast: The Weltenblummer podcast series is amazing and showcases so many talented artists that play all kinds of beautiful music. Music really does have the power to brighten up people's days, especially during challenging times with COVID/lockdowns. Thank you so much for the opportunity to do a podcast <3

WE ARE ELECTRIC – CELEBRATE ELECTRONIC MUSIC AND GAY CLUBBING AROUND THE WORLD!

Gary Numan once asked, "Are friends electric?“ We have been fascinated by his electronic music and that of other artists like Kraftwerk, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Giorgio Moroder together with our eternal Disco-Queen Donna Summer. Later Frankie Knuckles brought house music into gay clubs - places where avant-garde has always had its home. 

Electronic music has never been as diverse as it is today. But we are tired of commercial gay parties and boring electronic music for the masses or always the same top 40 remixes again and again. We like it deep, underground and a little funky.

GAYLECTRO is part of a movement to return gay clubbing back to its roots. We believe in the principle of diversity and the influence of different cultures into music - for instance electronic music in Asia has influences other than that of South America or Africa. There are so many different, talented artists in the world. We want to discover them and their diversity.

That´s why we only promote DJs, tracks, events and clubs that have electronic music we truly stand behind. We collaborate with DJs, promoters and anyone who is LGTBQ-friendly, open-minded, and just as passionate about electronic music as we are. GAYLECTRO is our attempt to encourage people to try something new and to turn gay clubs and events into avant-garde places again.

Join us to keep up to date and jam to the coolest beats. It’s all about our community and supporting friends who share the same love for good electronic music.
