Haldan from Palms Out Sound is an influential blogger and DJ/Producer in the New York music scene. The versatile artist created an impeccable palate for sonic landscapes and infuses this dubbed out version with a wide ambiance and beautiful string arrangement.

Also from down south, but on the Australian end, Producer Luke Foskey re-invents Gazelle’s sound and moves us with one of his Young Edits. A flash back to the future with a deep, late night dancefloor remix, reminding us of an epic 80’s action movie theme song.

Italy has a dance scene that has permeated the harts of many. From the renowned producer duo Scuola Furano comes a remix that brings a sensibility of Disco and Italo-funk to a fresh crossover with African Pop. Its an 80’s summer club track straight out of Kitt’s tape deck from a Nightrider episode.

The beloved Parisian prodigy, Lazy Flow, from the label Young Guns, has produced this Jazzy rendition of the Afro-French collaboration with Perfect Losers. This mix was given the full treatment with saxaphone and summer vibes, fit for a holiday in Corsica. Were looking forward to our new found relationship after featuring on Lazy Flow's first full length album.

This German electro star made his way to Berlin from Munich through labels such as Compost, Gomma, Permanent Vacation and various prolific other outlets. He brings a Kraut-Rock influence to the original song from the experience of being the guitarist from the band Munk but also through his love for wave bands and the sheer reason of being a child of the 80ies. Ben’s remix is surely a club stomper, fusing a mid-tempo rhythm with staunch electronic parts, this version is sure to be given cred where the dancfloor needs it most.

The two dubstep kings of Cape Town added their touch to the album with two amazing re-works of the more edgy side of Gazelle’s repertoire. Their cutting edge version of ‘Just Now’ takes it to a new level with the intense saw bass lines and stabbing synths, showing that these boys are a force to be reckoned with. The rework takes the song that Gazelle did with rapper extraordinaire Weez to a darker dirtier dimension.

The legendary Berlin based producer, Claudia Ptoile, teams up with John John to create a groove infused rework that combines intelligent dance in a minimal soundscape. The perfect track for an early morning after party.

has come to deliver two excellent mixes, one on the anthem ‘Try’ as the new single, ‘Lerato’, giving them both an authentic African feel. Gavin has worked as a mix engineer with the likes of Miriam Makeba and Hugh Masekela, and these tracks pay tribute to his wealth of experience.
