J’ai tellement aimé travaillé sur toutes les étapes de création de cette chanson, je suis vraiment très heureuse de vous la présenter ❤️🔥🎶. Pour écrire cette chanson, j'ai été inspirée par une jolie photo en noir et blanc et j’ai imaginé cette histoire.
Il y a deux amoureux au comptoir et il y a une femme assise dans la salle qui les observe et qui est attiré mar le jeune homme au bar, elle se met à rêver.

To write this song, I was inspired by a pretty black and white photo and I imagined this story. There are two lovers at the counter and there is a woman sitting in the room who watches them and who is attracted by the young man at the bar, she begins to dream. This song I wrote in 2013 after listening to Ingrid Michaelson"s "The Way I Am", I was heavily inspired to write something very similar to that song but faster and happier and more Beatles-like! Sometimes a song touches your heart and you want to express that feeling in a different way. Charlie did an awesome job singing it and we both had a great time recording it. The video was super fun to make and I love the leading woman in the video, she's just so full of life and so happy! The music and lyrics both came to me hard and furious, I think I wrote it in like 30 minutes! It's another love song to my beautiful wife. The song reminds me of spring time when life is renewed and winter has moved on and love is in the air once more. I'd like to thank Ingrid for the inspiration she gave me and The Beatles for planting that seed of writing songs in me! Music is the answer, if we can all sing together, we can all live together, how cool is that?! Cheers!

This song began as a well developed, funky disco idea Roy came up with on his guitar, and shared with JJ. JJ added a wonderfully complex orchestration of various keys (including the sax solo you hear towards the end.    JJ invited Stephen first, who came up with the funky ass wah guitar that also carries the groove. 

Of course, JJ realized that this is a disco song, so he enlisted Ken to come up with one of his awesome beats to carry it along. 

JJ had a rudimentary bass line that he played himself, but decided to get Josh to do the honors instead. So, Josh came up with a totally new bass line designed to shake your cheeks. 

Once it was in the can, we decided to ask JJ to mix it for us. This is a first time JJ has mixed a song for The Eclectic Collective, and we were all impressed with his work. Stephen mastered it, as he is a master masterer.    

We're all really impressed and delighted with the experience of working with Roy and his music. He is a very talented artist with a lot of great music to check out on his page, too.   We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it, and that it makes you shake your hips while you're doing the dishes, too!
