GBOL 001 - The Tourist Board  

The Tourist Board are a recluse pair to say the least. Our first connection with the duo being the result of finding a phone number written in dirt on the inner sleeve of a white label we found in Sheffield. We believe they live in the woods or somewhere generally rural but we’re actually not sure.

DB:AB - Millions

It's been a tough year for DB:AB. The former member of Biggleswade trio 'Bait Kush' parted ways with the group due to a financial dispute in which the location of their studio space (that all three members had equally invested in) resulted in them winning a large sum of money in the Postcode Lottery. What followed shortly after the win was his access to their shared bank account being frozen by the other members of the group. However after some time spent soul-searching in Rugby, he has stepped back into the world of music and in his own words is now "ready to knock the door, ring the bell and make his Millions" the only way he knows how.

The Art of Patience - Brainpower

The Art of Patience always knew they were different. That the brain they possessed had to be stronger, more powerful than everyone elses.

Initially fronting the math-rock band 'Shatterproof Protractor', writing exclusivly in the 19/16 time signature never quite felt enough, as though there was more to give to both art and academia. Luckily inspiration was just around the right angle.

Upon sitting an online IQ test and discovering their result was a dizzying 116, the new musical path became clear. Working their way across the intelligent side of the dance floor, putting the 'I Do Mensa' in IDM, Great Bunch of Lads Records presents: 'Brainpower'.

ConfectionMe - Toxic Paste

The rustle of a wrapper and the rumble of a sub-bass go hand in hand as far as producer ConfectionMe is concerned.

Intent on combining a love of all things confectionary and 140BPM, working in a sweet shop wholesalers off the A642 and listening to UKF mixes from the early 2010s has proved to be benefical. The first result of this unique creative process? Toxic Paste.

The Tourist Board - Say What U C

We are proud to welcome another offering to the world from The Tourist Board. In the brief period since the release of “The Wrong Train” in January 2025, the once recluse pair have found God in the Black Country.

A conclusion reached when a church pamphlet with a 7’ version of the release enclosed within it came in the post. This was very peculiar to us at GBOL Records as we have only ever contacted them by phone and have never given them our address.

Inside the pamphlet, we were also given our first identifying information for the duo. It stated the following,

“Bear witness to the sermon of Bartholomew II and B.C. Dark Times. Say what you see. See the power of Christ, Dudley and 606. From under the bushel. AUG 2025.”

We’ve taken this as an album announcement, so rejoice and plug in your speakers! The Tourist Board will return in August 2025 with their debut album ‘From Under The Bushel’.

The Tourist Board - From Under the Bushel

GBOLs favourite disciples make a momentus return with this latest helping of big beat goodness.

This body of work was put together after the TTB spotted the face of Denise Lewis in a bottle of communion wine, snuck out of a Sandwell baptist church during a quick pit stop on the way back from a DJ set in Dudley.

Given the nature of this divine intevention, TTB saw fit to record this latest body of work back in what they describe as 'the breadbasket of christendom'. But given all the recording studios in Walsall were booked up, Wolverhampton proved to be a dependable back up.

As a show of goodwill and gratitude to the area, each track is named after a local figure head of whom TTB have bestowed an honorary sainthood upon, even Pontius Pilate would find it hard to disagree!

The Tourist Board hopes that this will shake the dancefloors of London, Detroit & The Garden of Eden (before the snake showed up) alike. Peace be with you xx
