In just one year, Philadelphia producer, G-Buck, has catapulted himself into the dance music world with a horde of hyper, high-octane club tracks ranging from mainstream bootlegs to original productions. His tireless tunes have circulated through the sets of elite DJs around the world — most notably with Jack Ü cohorts Skrillex and Diplo — leading to releases on reputable imprints like Mad Decent and Main Course. Now, G-Buck takes his talents to new heights with the ShakeLine / Toma EP out today on NEST, ushering in a fully graduated sound that pairs relentless club energy with precise production work.

“ShakeLine” acts as the vocal-driven A-side to the release featuring hype from NOLA’s FlyBoi Keno, who just made big waves recently with his inclusion on Jack Ü’s “Beats Knockin“. Just like in the Skrill & Diplo bruiser, FlyBoi Keno brings the party vibes in “ShakeLine” with his booming voice and tenacious style. Turntablist, Four Color Zack, scratches up the track for the full effect, and G-Buck’s siren-esque synth blasts and huge snare snaps make this tune a real monster. “Toma” follows up as the ferocious, bouncy B-side — speeding along at 160BPM with whizzing leads and syncopated kick drums. It’s a feat of controlled chaos; something G-Buck is gradually becoming known for.

Jersey Club producer DJ Sliink has teamed up with Skrillex and Wale for his new song “Saint Laurent” (out via Skrillex’s OWSLA label). According to a press release, Sliink’s production reminded Wale of D.C. Gogo, making him want to lend his vocals. Listen below. Recently, Skrillex shared a new song called “Would You Ever” featuring Justin Bieber-collaborator Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, which debuted with a visual starring a hairy Australian on a skateboard. He also released a song with Habstrakt earlier this year called “Chicken Soup,” which appeared on the label comp HOWSLA. Wale shared his latest LP Shine in May.
