As well as running through some covers and originals on electric guitar we decided to have a go at doing an acoustic set too in preparation for some up coming open mic nights. We also had a very first go at doing Losing My Religion by R.E.M. The mandolin hadn't been out of it's case for so long, we're talking years here, that the zipper was seized up! Also a string broke on the second take! Haha!

Onur Özman returns to Sum Over Histories with Panopticon, a 4-track EP exploring the illusion of freedom in modern life. 

Drawing on the panopticon’s concept of unseen surveillance, the release blends deep, atmospheric sound design with a clear conceptual focus, moving from hidden confinement toward a sense of release. The EP also features a breaks-heavy UK bass remix by Odd Occasion, adding an intense and powerful dimension to Özman’s original work.

Biography:

Gonçalo Costa is the name behind the project GC System, born on 10/01/1986, in Portugal.

Always connected to electronic music since he was a child, his interest grew fast and, in the end of 2008, started to buying softwares and hardwares for producing music, which led him to produce his own tracks, editing for the first time in 2012.

Whether in his solo or collaborative efforts, GC System has always been a maverick presence in underground dance culture and he believes that the inspiration can come from anywhere and that’s why he is open to all types of Electronic Music.

Their sound is driven by psychedelic beats and synthetic bass lines with a single purpose...to make people dance!!
