Within just one year, the Leipzig-based label Self Learning System has established itself as a serious and cheeky contender in the electro scene, and the third release aims to live up to this claim once again. DJ Unisex surprises with Chromatic Stimulations, as his four otherworldly tracks unfold a no-frills attitude on par with a trippy sound design between a revealing in and outro. This EP is not afraid to present raw and unsettling machine noises and rather revels in the bubble bath of reverberating and resonating synths from late night hardware sessions.

Desire [ 136 bpm ] Don't be misled by the early onset synth pads, DESIRE is a disturbingly catchy bass monster of an electro track.

Observer T - 8EM [ 132 bpm ] A perfect example of how a minimal club electro track doesn't have to be complex to make your body bang to it.

Electro Techno Freaks! [ 136 bpm ] DJ Unisex screws a smacking bass into your auditory nervous system again and uses only selected inorganic ingredients.

Instrumental C.03 [ 141 bpm ] You came for the machine funk but you'll stay for the blinding trip. Secret tip.

Podcast 110, firma norteña familia, hablamos de @GCodeManiac.

GCode ha sido todo un descubrimiento: músico de formación, ingeniero de profesión y freak del Electro por vocación. El piano marcó sus inicios formativos pasando a los instrumentos de percusión (timbales y vibráfono son lo suyo) todo ello con el Jazz como hilo conductor. Estos años de músico acústico le llevaron a tocar en la orquesta sinfónica del conservatorio de Bilbao y a profundizar en la música clásica. 
La música electrónica llegó con el tiempo y fue el Minimal lo primero que cautivó los oídos de GCode Maniac, lo que enseguida le condujo a interesarse por el arte del Djing y a descubrir más estilos hasta enamorarse del Electro. GCode también anda liado entre sintes modulares y en sus perfiles podemos ver que va por muy buen camino, seguro que en breve lo podremos disfrutar en formato Live.
Además, este artista multidisciplinar tiene un proyecto, Technologic Art, en el que une fuerzas con Pol.Fiction para dar forma a objetos y esculturas tridimensionales.

October 14th saw the beginning of Bassiani’s new party series ‘Curated by Resident’, with in-house selector Kancheli taking charge of booking and Anthony Rother jumping in as headline pick behind the decks. Rother is a German institution whose ghost in the machine vocoder-vocals and dark electro formulations dominated an era in club history and left an indelible mark on many who followed. For a few years, he took a break and let his past productions simmer, full concentration on hybrid sets and heading back to his Offenbach studio to turn whatever energy clubnights gave him into tracks. Back to releasing and touring the globe, he payed Tbilisi a visit this year. Bassiani Podcast 150 is a live recording straight from the Bassiani floor, a two hour mix of bionic bleeps and hair-raising basslines, Rother’s unmistakable fusion of man and machine is very much back with a vengeance.

2022 has unarguably been a great year for Electro both with overall visibility for the genre as well as with the sheer number of quality releases being put out over the course of the year. This was also a year in which I took a break from my show and handed DJing responsibilities over to DJ friends from around the world. Couldn't be happier with how the year turned out for the show. I feel like It was a busy year both production-wise and promotion-wise for @DVSNME and @DarkScienceElectro respectively, however, I found some time to put together a mix of my favorite 22 tracks from 2022. Thanks to all the artists and DJs for the promos that made this mix possible. (@dvsnme December 16th, 2022)
