In the mix of today’s explosive mass media world, it’s easy for anyone to go buy a computer, install studio equipment, record songs, and call themselves an artist. However, there’s something simply different about one Nashville Tennessee recording artist. He is GC Tha Artist, an inspired underground hip hop performer with unique skills to say the least. The name “GC” developed from nothing more than his initials. He earned the title “Tha Artist” from friends and family at an early age by displaying many art related talents such as sketching, painting, and poetry. His works lead him to eventually become an excelled Mass Media graduate from Nashville School of the Arts magnet high school, and college student at the International Academy of Design and Technology pursuing a bachelors degree in Digital Audio Production to further fuel his passions. He has proven to be an electrifying one man band by producing his own music, writing his own songs, recording in his own studio, and engineering his own material. Utilizing the little tools acquired, GC has manifested a library of media.
In recent years he has been subtly circulating creations around the Internet with little or no promotion at all. After experimenting with sound, the act is now ready to exploit what he’s been training for. His talents undoubtedly have the potential to successfully capture the minds of millions. Yet he is not so focused on stardom, but more so on positive principles, respectful values, and wholesome morals. Not honing on financial gain (unlike most of the pop culture icons), his belief ” good music will sell itself”, serves to be a characteristic of faith. A system he has been living out since the start of his first official album MidSummer’s Eve. Though its been awhile and many roads have changed, the sight of his goals hasn’t. He’s taken life’s road blocks and turned them into stepping stones. He’s taking negativity and shaped it into motivation. He’s consistently rebuilding himself into a new and improved artist, pushing to new heights, going forward with a limitless outlook, and learning as he goes. He leaves behind a unapologetic past in thoughts of it being life lessons that has ultimately strengthened him. Now embracing his gratitude for God given talents, he is fearless to step even further out of the box. GC Tha Artist chants “faith over fear”. His head is high, the performer is more energetic than ever, extremely humble, and optimistic about what the future holds. Get ready, this kid is about to blow!
