Swept Away

Gregory David Garner was born and raised near the landmark Coney Island section of Brooklyn. At a young age Gregory realized his love for art, specializing in character design and comics. After years of steady work in the illustration field, he decided he would also hone his talents and interest in music. 
	Inspired by the likes of Tom Morello, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Carlos Santana, he decided to pick up the guitar and learn. With no intentions of persuing music professionally, he self taught himself with the help of video guides and advice from other friendly guitar players.  After 2 years of self guidance he then realized that playing music was his true calling.
        Gregory is the co-founder and songwriter of the band 'GrenAde!', a genre clashing mix match of hard rock and jazz with elements of hip hop and world music. Gregory also is a member of 'Wordspit and the Illest', a hip hop/rock fusion band fronted by the talented MC Wordspit that made strides on national television when they participated on NBC's America's Got Talent in 2012.
