I'm really grateful to my band for helping me with this project: Alex D'Onöfrio, guitar; Alex Geddes, saxophones; Andriu Yanovski, keyboard; Sam Albright, bass; Peter Gustafson, trombone. You guys did an incredible job with some really challenging but sensitive material. I also want to thank Hannah Baldo for recording this material so excellently and for her continuing work on the mastering. Kendra Wills is to thank for her excellent camera work which allowed me to produce a promotional video.

"Reflection" to me expresses the tendency to view things from multiple perspectives at once. Just as we are simultaneously seeing ourselves and the water, we also see the connection between the reflection that takes place in our eyes and in our memories as we view ourselves from a distance. As you submerge yourself below the surface, look up and see the air above act as a mirror, while the play of the waves morphs the surface into incredibly intricate patterns before shattering and reforming again. This is the dynamic equilibrium which holds our world in balance, the force which guides galaxies and and atoms through our eternal dance throughout existence.

I hope you enjoy hearing this music as much as I loved making it. If you feel passionately about the music and agree that more people should hear it, I would love for you to share it with whomever you please.
