It’s wild to think but I’ve been DJ’ing professionally for nearly a decade. It all started with a cold email from a promoter in Brazil and the madness began. I’ve been fortunate to see the world this way. Throughout my career I’ve made it a point to have a variety of performances, whether that’s live band, DJ’ing, or something in between. I think it’s really important to challenge yourself and get out of your comfort zone. With that said, I keep coming back to DJ’ing. Having control over the atmosphere of a venue is a powerful drug. When things click, it’s amazing. 

I’ve been through the various hype cycles of different genres, some that interested me (disco, house, acid) and others that didn’t (dubstep, trap, future house) but ultimately there’s something really special about dance music. Coming from a songwriting background, it feels very foreign. In contrast, it’s counterintuitive. Finding the right balance of repetition and simplicity. 

It’s been several years since I released an actual DJ mix, so figured now is the time.
