Had very little time to write Day 1 challenge, but here it goes :)

#21daysofVGM - Day 1: Sea Shanty in Dorian

My entry for the 2nd day of #21DaysofVGM. I found it so hard to build a "Game over-try again" feeling within 10 seconds!
I chose a Locrian mode and borrowed a chord from Aeolian to end it all together with an extra mysterious vibe.
Had a lot of fun in the process :)

For my day 3 entry on #21DaysofVGM, I decided to use a compound 12/8 time waltz only using pizzicato strings. I also modulated from C major to D major in the B section.
I am having way more fun than I thought I would :)

My entry for day 4 of #21DaysofVGM.
Based on the challenge "The Attack of the Drones", I used a single C on the bass for the entire track. I put a marching (kind of) rhythm and used Phrygian mode to give it a more exotic flavour. Very short piece.
Drones are an awesome and easy way to keep the same modal mood for the entire music :)

My entry for day 5 of #21DaysofVGM. I used "The Name Game" challenge, limiting myself to write a melody with the letters in my full name that correspond to notes (and in the same sequence). 
In my case, believe it or not, I had 13 letters to use haha. A big compound full name finally pays off :)
Had to be kind of creative with the harmony (but not that much really).

#21DaysofVGM - Day 5: The Initials Melody

Composed this track for day 7 of #21DaysofVGM.
Based on "The JRPG Special" challenge, I used only one flute, piano and violin. I chose a Lydian mode and on the B section I used modal mixture to get a Mixolydian flavour. Lots of love for this nostalgic/dreamy combination!
I love JRPG - definitely my favourite genre to compose for.

Beach day on the ocean front or a small oasis desert town? Looped background music suited for Town Themes.
