This Is Who We Are is one of the most personal and emotionally charged tracks from The Shadowmaker. It captures my journey of self-reflection, facing insecurities, and questioning my place in the world.

Blending ghostly indie with cosmic folk, the song’s wistful melodies and reverb-heavy electronic drums create an airy yet atmospheric soundscape. Lines like “jaded sense of glory” and “heavy are the shoulders with his fading repertoire” reflect the inner battles I’ve faced, while falsetto vocals and withering strings bring a haunting sense of vulnerability.

This track invites you to confront your own “shadow avatars” and embrace the raw truth of who you are. It’s a deeply personal piece that I hope resonates with anyone searching for meaning in life’s complexities.
