This song is my closure — not an ending, but a reckoning.
After years of pain, survival, and rebuilding, I learned that healing isn’t about returning to who you were; it’s about discovering who you are after the fire.
Through the darkness, I found love again — real love — and it changed everything.
I can finally see my children, my family, and myself through compassion instead of fear.
Even though someone once tried to break me, I lived. And through that survival, I saw the world not as broken, but beautifully unfinished.

My first real hit in France. It was in the French Top 5 for weeks on end and lead me to embark on my love affair with all things French. Recorded by Jim Steinman for 'The Mask of Zorro' soundtrack it was originally going to be a duet with Ricky Martin. Ricky became suddenly unavailable when he started having a succession of number 1's across the world so Marc Anthony and I recorded the song instead and it became the lead track for the film. It features a beautiful score by James Horner who also wrote and scored the soundtrack to Titanic.
