Another edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is just around the corner, and this year marks its 30th anniversary. As always, Chrom Recordings is ready to celebrate in style with their annual ADE Sampler and a 2-day label showcase happening on Friday and Saturday. Our ADE Chrom Sampler features 10 carefully curated tracks, reflecting the diverse sounds of Progressive House, Indie Dance, and Melodic House & Techno. The Compilation opens with 2 recent Chrom anthems: Horizon, taken from the #100-album by our own label manager Pedro Mercado alongside Karada, followed by our latest single Missing, the iconic 90s classic from Everything But The Girl covered by Yves Eaux feat. Gregory Douglass. The remaining 8 tracks are brand-new and exclusive to this release. Half of them are contributions from trusted Chrom regulars: Fernando Lagreca, DJ Andy de Gage, Paul Sawyer and Daniel Vilchez. The other half is coming from artists who are new to our label: JP Lantieri from France, VUH from Mexico, GELIMA from Thailand and Juwlz from Belgium. We hope you enjoy this years selection! And if youll be in Amsterdam this October for ADE, wed love to see you at our Label Showcase on Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th. Just like last years, were teaming up with our good friends from Tanzgemeinschaft, with Strange Town Recordings from Canada joining us on Friday. Across two days, well feature 16 international artists performing from 18:00 until 02:00 on both days at The Flying Dutchman (located opposite Amsterdam Central Station). Delta Funktionen returns from a 5-year hiatus with a fiery new EP on his own Radio Matrix label. Four powerful, yet deep and somewhat dubby cuts that perfectly balance techno and stronger house. With this new EP, Delta proves he's a unique voice in the world of electronic music, one who maintains consistent quality in his output while being very diverse in his sound palette. The music is often straightforward, though there's still plenty of depth to be found. It's serious, yet very playful. It's grounded, but also very spacey. And all is presented in very solid mixdowns. All these ingredients combined make this an EP that will fit perfectly into the DJ bags of the true DJ soldiers.

Following on from the steamroller that was 'Carnival of Souls', Respekt's top brass are back with a fresh two-tracker. 'Gates of Dawn' gets the ball rolling with a hefty tip of the cap to Spektre's ravey roots. Searing, gated sawtooth riffs are peppered with breakbeat chops and of-the-era vocal hits to devastating effect. 
The second part of this double A-side is the more introspective 'Something Inside Us', on which the duo keeps the energy levels high, blending mesmerising, acidic melodies with cinematic pads and a scene-setting vocal sample.
The remix package adds yet more colours to the release's palette, with top notch reinterpretations from Loco & Jam and Vinicius Honorio.
