The group members are Kikuta brothers yaskikuta and HIDE.

1993: Gekkan Pro Bowler was formed. In 1996, yaskikuta returned from America, and at that time, the total number of members in the group had reached 7. They first got their name out there by promoting at school festivals, city halls, and on local radio programs. Getsupro also started playing with a focus on clubs in Tokyo, and at that time, upper techno sounds were very popular.
2002: They began hosting the event “dotechno,” which gathered attention in the early 2000s club scene as being a very influential party, as they invited big name artists, both foreign and domestic, to the event centered in Roppongi.
2004: They released their first album “Technyo” on the ELECTRIC PUNCHES label. The attention they got from clubs, events, the radio, magazines, etc pushed the releases sales up to set new records. The album track “Nana iro gangster” still gets a lot of playback even today.
2005: Their second album “Technikov” was released. A cover of the song “High School Lullaby” was included and received much attention.
2007: Their third album “Disco Wars” was released. The artwork for the album gained attention as Ippei Gyoubu did the jacket illustrations, and OHRYS BIRD helped with the album PV.
2008: Their fourth album “eRetro” is released.
All songs were set to a fast paced beat of 150BPM, and the album topped the iTunes electro album chart at #1.
2009: HIDE became the group’s new manager after already serving as a support member as a DJ and track producer.
Getsupro released a best album with all songs being rearranged with female vocals, and it hit #1 on the iTunes electro album chart. They began their regular event “Gekkan Pro Bowler Festa” at clubasia, which is targeted on the dance and electro scenes. At this point, yaskikuta started activities as a sound producer and started an experimental group with Mitome Makoto called dorago.
2010: Getsupro made the Xbox 360 theme song used at the Tokyo Game Show 2010. The song had guest vocals done by Iwata Achuu (NIRGILIS), and garnered much attention both domestically and abroad as it topped the iTunes electro chart at #1.
Around the same time, yaskikuta took over doing vocals for the group, and their sound started to change. They started aiming more for a “neoromantic” music style. They also created a side project as the unit JacidBros, which received offers for contracts from British, Spanish, and Brazilian labels less than a month after releasing their music. Since then, they’ve released numerous mixes and have been noted by DJs and club goers worldwide.
2011: The group moved to their own label aorizm records, which HIDE started. They then began to work on a more global scale covering music by The Clash and making System7 remixes. They also began hosting their regular event “Gekkan Pro Bowler All Night Festa” at CLUB SEATA.
And after 3 years of waiting, they’ll be releasing their much anticipated album Romantheque on August 31!!
