Funkwerkstatt-Sänger Dan Morro wandelt auf Solopfaden. Wohin? In eine musikalische Welt, deren hohe atmosphärische Dichte zwischen poppiger Leichtigkeit und tiefsinniger Melancholie oszilliert. Es sind klassische Songs, die er hier unter dem Namen “i Am Halo“ vorlegt. Denn immer ist es die Textur seiner einzigartigen Stimme, um die herum sich Rhythmen und Melodien kristallisieren. Dies geschieht mal mit tanzbarer, mal mit eher bedächtiger Dynamik, mal mit orchestralen Motiven, mal mit elektronischem Gefrickel, aber immer mit ganz viel Gefühl und Stimmung. So ganz allein ist „i Am Halo“ übrigens doch nicht unterwegs. The Micronaut steuert einen Remix zu Little Planet bei, in dem die jazzige Vertracktheit seiner Beats immer wieder punktgenau auf der Eins landet. Gluid hebt unter die fließende Melancholie des Titels Not Invented gradlinige Rhythmen, die das symphonisch anmutende Original voll und ganz tanzflächenkompatibel machen.  Und Mollono.Bass arbeitet sorgfältig die sonnigsten Aspekte von Queen of Queens heraus um sie zu einem ungezwungen Groove zu verdichten.
 
	

Dan Morro, singer of Funkwerkstatt, goes his own way. To where? To a world of music with a high atmospheric density that oscillates between uplifting elements from Pop, Electronics and profound melancholy. It is classic songs which he delivers under the name “i Am Halo”. Rhythms and melodies crystallize around the brilliant texture of his expressive voice. The dynamic of his music is sometimes danceable, sometimes laid-back, sometimes supported by orchestral motives, sometimes by electronic beats and samples, but always there is an incredible emotional intensity. After all, “i Am Halo” is not completely on his own. The Micronaut presents a remix of Little Planet that comes with his signature jazzy style, its beats rumbling and shuffling before hitting the sweet spot just in time. Gluid mixes the floating melancholy of the track Not Invented with straight beats and boosts the symphonic atmosphere of the original straight onto the dance floor by doing so. Finally Mollono.Bass carefully extracts the sunniest, most friendly aspects of Oueen Of Queens and creates a relaxed party track.

PREMIERE: The Micronaut – Widelens (Stephan Zovsky Remix)  [ Sueslide Records ]

Born in Germany and raised in Brazil, trying to combine the dark and deep northern roots with the mystical and tribal rhythms the project Gelber Schamane was summoned.

Yellow stands for the element air, for the thoughts and the spirit.
The sunshine is yellow and so the color of the sun, the light and symbolizes "bringing light into the dark".

But what are the shamans of our times?

In ancient cultures every village had a representative with a strong connection to the spiritual world. In certain cultures they were also called medicine mans. Their exercise was to take care of all spiritual concerns and the emotional well being of the tribe. To do so there were many activities. Usually a ceremony lasting several hours was held in the centre of the village, where the tribe met to sing and dance extraordinarily. During this rituals the shaman set the pace using a self-made drum.
Nowadays only a few of those cultures and comunities exists, but the spirit of Shamanism still lives on. It changed its face to gather people together at night to dance together and enjoy. 
The village square turned into cellars and festivals, the modern medicine people became DJ's, The ambience and the occasion may have changed, but the rhythmic beating of the drums has remained. It is literally in the hands of the disc jockeys which mood they create through their vibration. Accordingly, a great responsibility goes hand in hand with this task and calling as a neo-shaman.
