GELKA UNVEILS VISIONS EP—A PRELUDE TO HIS UPCOMING ALBUM HUMAN MOMENT

After a career spanning two decades Hungarian downtempo artist Gelka is set to release his most introspective work yet. His upcoming ambient album, Human Moment, arriving this autumn, delves deep into themes of human connection, psychology, and fleeting emotions. Blending neoclassical piano with warm synth textures, this album marks Gelka’s evolution into an ambient soundscape.

As a preview of what's to come, Gelka presents the Visions EP, out this Friday. The title track, Visions, captures the essence of Human Moment, weaving soft ambient textures with emotional neoclassical piano melodies. This EP offers listeners an early glimpse into the sonic world of the upcoming album.

This new chapter follows Connection (2023), a deeply collaborative album featuring artists like Natalie Holmes, Forteba, and Faunabeats. With a blend of downtempo and ambient influences, Connection showcased Gelka’s ability to craft immersive, emotional musical landscapes.

Gelka has been featured on a number of prominent record labels, such as Om Records, Ministry of Sound, Stereo Deluxe, Wax On Records and Warp releases. Gelka has been a Café del Mar artist since 2003, with more than 25 CDM compilation releases, compiling and mixing 3 Café del Mar albums: Chillhouse 9, ChillWave 2, ChillWave 3, and mixtapes for Café del Mar's youtube channel: Café del Mar Chillout Mix 26, Café del Mar Chillout Mix 10.
He also had a mixtape series called Café del Mar - Evolution of Chill on Apple Music in 2022.

Gelka is famous for delivering floating musical journeys, beautifully curated mixtapes, and a debut album Less Is More on Nightmares On Wax's Wax On Imprint. With 5 albums (Less Is More, Stardust Memories, Wishful Thinking, Particles, Connection), Gelka has amassed close to 100 million streams on Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube, Tidal etc. His mashups and re-edits are amongst the top listened mixtapes on Mixcloud with more than 60K followers, his mixtapes landed several times on Mixcloud best of the year lists. He also had a monthly radioshow on Ibiza Sonica Radio, and made mixtapes for BBC Radio 1 in 2022 and 2023.

I wanted to capture that uplifting, inspiring feeling in music: the sense of connection and openness that lingers after truly meaningful exchanges.

There are no drums here—just flowing piano melodies and warm synth textures that ebb and flow, wrapping you in sound. It’s part of my upcoming album Human Moment, which explores the beautiful, fleeting moments of human connection.
