Millenium Bug Live 2018-2021 (GEN047) by GIANT CLAW presents an ensemble of living pieces, performance re-imaginings explicitly reframing these works as systems of possibilities and interpretations. Haptic, gestural, tense, constantly on the verge of transformation, these selected renditions reveal themselves not just as linearly sequenced polished constructions but as fluid textural zones to traverse freely, colorful scenes to zoom in and scope out of. Still, their presentation is no less lucid, precise or meticulous than the studio cuts, but offer clarification and new perception through staging them explicitly, resulting in a sound realm that is even more plastic, alive and in-your-face.

when u enter a crawlspace you feel humidity all around, from the wet walls to the ground. Yairku is a dark, yet textured place . . .

Razmiel ( my master of a tactile, virtual soundscape ) conceived this dense, atmospheric journey that expands and collapses its sonic space without any warning. through thick, wet kicks and high-pitched textures, I find myself in club areas, spontaneous noise panoramas, or even cathartic guitar riffs 0_o
with all that in mind, the EP stays emotional and poetic, delivering unconventional climaxes, and moments of silence for a deep inhale.

i listened to it for the 1st time, then 2nd, then 3rd, and still was hungry for more. Razmiel always makes me want to stay in their world for way longer than I imagined . . . ♡

Worship of the sun, the quiet madness at the moment of sunrise in Tokyo− The dazzle and desolation of adolescence in the metropolis of despair is refined into a euphoric, trancy soundscape.

Solace From The Sun is the long-awaited debut album from Ichiro Tanimoto, leader of Tokyo-based trance cult Minna-no-kimochi and
founder of the label Mizuha 罔象 @mizuha-cc, both of which are at the forefront of the neo-trance movement in Japan.

The album contains 14 blissed-out, post-rave tracks, including a collaboration with Silént Phil, a Russian electronic musician who passed away in 2021. The artwork is by Kazuma Watanabe, graphic designer for the Minna-no-kimochi collective.

Scores is a compilation exploring musical notations and how they can be interpreted as sounds. People have always tried to translate sonic expressions into visual cues that could be archived, passed down, and transformed back into music. 

From symbols to numbers, grids, staffs, figures or abstract shapes, several languages have been developed and continuously questioned to improve the ability to retain the emotion and meaning sounds can convey - what lies behind the veil.
 
What if this time, the notation would come beforehand?

The project unfolded in two phases. In the first one, visual artists from the Global URL Nation could propose one sheet of music score, free of interpretation. They were invited to play with musical notations and explore what it would even mean.

In the second phase, artists from GUN could pick one sheet and create a track trying to follow it as much as possible. It invited them to question music as a physical object, with its shapes, colors, textures and layers with the following :

__How is the overall composition? Are there any axis or lines that could be interpreted as a timeline or a melodic scale?
__How many discrete elements are in the image? How are they laid out?
__What are the shapes involved?  What is their scale? Do they have sharp or blurry outlines?
__What are the colors/textures used? How do they relate with each other in terms of tones, contrasts…?
__How are the different elements layered on top of each other? Are they superimposed or do they merge in some way?
__How would they translate them in musical terms, such as textures, notes, structures, timbres, rhythms, dynamics? 

It welcomed Bademjan, Baje Nunca, C+Vis, Capiuz, Clair X, C.T.A.A.M.  Ecovoron, Epiphagi, HeedLess, Mambo Kahn, migu, POL100, Yau Hei ASJ & Ziyiz for 14 tracks ranging from ethereal scorescapes to hyperstimulating scratches. Sounds and shapes weave together, blurring the boundaries between the two media to create one whole entity
