Emerging producer and DJ Tobias Bergson is gearing up to share a new single, ‘One Day’, on October 25th, 2024 via PLAYY. Records. The track received support from KCRW's Metropolis show, national radio station CBC Music's Afterdark Show, and House Music Love. Boasting a whopping 180 million streams across platforms, support from publications like DJ Magazine and 1001 Tracklists, and praise from DJ luminaries such as Don Diablo, Lost Frequencies and Steve Aoki. His single 'Voices' reached over 22 Million streams followed by 'Sunset Wave' with over 17 Million streams and counting. Additionally, Tobias has previously released via major labels Armada and Universal Austria. Performing at venues and festivals such as Spring Festival (Graz, Austria) around Europe, receiving support from editorial Spotify playlists such as Chillout Lounge, Chill Tracks, and Deep House Relax to mention a few, Bergson has been carving a place for himself in the industry and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

The Austrian producer creates emotive, melancholic tracks that evoke euphoria with a uniquely relatable touch. Bergson’s passion for music began at 17, not through traditional instruments but by immersing himself in programming and music production on his computer. He pulls influences from a vast array of genres including deep house, techno, progressive, lounge, and house. Inspired by Deadmau5, Ben Böhmer, Rampa and Chris Malinchak, his mesmerising tracks are reminiscent of a vast array of influences. ‘One Day’ will ensnare fans of Keinemusik, &ME and Adam Port. At the heart of Bergson’s work is a desire to convey his emotions and experiences, resulting in intricate, haunting melodies that offer a melancholic yet familiar atmosphere. Exploring Bergson's discography reveals a rich tapestry of sound and deeply-felt artistry. 

‘One Day’ is a departure from Tobias’ previous single ‘Clear Your Mind’, trading the spacious progressive house synthscape for a percussive Afro-Garage-House bopper that showcases soulful vocal layers reminiscent of Senegalese legend Youssou N'Dour’s work. A hypnotic, groovy dancefloor number, this track is bound to get the listener moving.

Tobias Bergson shared: “I think 'One Day' is a healthy mix of Afro House and a UK Garage beat. I’ve been producing Afro House on and off for over 2 years now, but so far it hasn't been of interest to the labels… I know 'One Day' isn’t really an Afro House track as one would typically know it, but that was exactly what made it interesting—to produce a song with Afro House vocals but without the usual Afro House beat.”

Polish artist Alex Rusin makes his debut on Inner Symphony with “Longing For Home”. A shimmering 3-track EP that showcases his talent for pinpointing a mood. 

The EP begins with “Bloom”, a strong opening number that sticks to the path of traditional techno. Synths and piano echo the track’s title as they ebb and flow over a steady bass line, before a pared-back section gives way to a new intensity that makes an enticing introduction to this release. 

“Ups & Downs” provides just that. Instantly, Alex Rusin manages to create a feeling of melancholy with only the minimal opening notes. With stunning attention to detail, layers of bass, percussion, and synths combine to build a compelling energy, whilst sustaining the delicate mood of the initial few bar. Surely a stand-out track. 

The EP ends with the distinctly uplifting “Longing For Home”. The track builds with each interlude introducing a new melodic element, combining to hint at influences of pop. The track could be more described as ‘easy listening’ due to its major tones, but this doesn’t take away from the mastery of production. 

It is impressive to be taken through so many moods on a full-length release. Alex Rusin’s ability to do this over just three tracks is a huge achievement. He’s one to watch, and will surely have a bright future with subsequent releases.
