Emma Joy is from Manhattan and started her singing career at the Metropolitan Opera House when she was seven years old. At ten, she took guitar lessons and immediately used her small, but expanding knowledge of guitar to write original music. She slowly honed her singing, guitar, and songwriting skills through high school. Upon entering Hamilton College, Emma became incredibly inspired and wrote a song a week for her first semester. She decided to take up guitar lessons again and was connected with Rick Balestra. Rick helped Emma mold her songs into what they are today with complex chords to complement her unique voice. In her sophomore year, Emma Joy recorded her first EP, Muse, released in March of 2014 at More Sound Studios in Syracuse, New York. She wrote all of the songs on Muse in her first and second year of college. The songs featured are "Firefly," “Tell Me,” "Queen," "Don't Let Me Down," and “Fall In Love With You.” Many describe her sound as a mix of Bonnie Raitt, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Norah Jones.

In the autumn of '18, Jem swapped the spires and hills of England for the Berlin underground. He stepped off the plane with a guitar, a suitcase, and a vision: to share his music with the world.

Each song blends the solemnity of an altar with the urgency of a church bell. The influence of the greats is unmistakeable: he channels the uncommon poetry of Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen, adding indie-folk influences as well as a more archaic thrill of his own devising.
