Callum Perrin rehashed Do not own it // do not open it into a thoughtful ambient remix about the harshness of PIP assessments.  The remix included reviews of cassette recorders found on the Argos website from claimants.  These reviews, contrasted with the sound of cassette tapes rewinding and forwarding, gave the piece a very poignant tone.

These compositions came from a Drake Music North West project  in Feb 2016 for autistic young people interested in composing music on their own terms. 

We are grateful to the Michael Tippett Musical Foundation for funding this work. The project used Found Sounds in the Urban Environment as a jumping off point.

Urban sounds were collected around Z-Arts in Hulme, Manchester by all participants.

A sketch of a new sound collaboration with sound artist Gemma Nash.

Taking inspiration from canonical stories of the voice throughout time (the Bible's 'Tower of Babel', the Greek myth 'Narcissus & Echo', Hans Christian Anderson's 'The Little Mermaid')we explore the voice and its relationship to self-hood in a future where technology can capture and alter our voices beyond recognition. 

These sketches are soundscapes that will be used as the background for a live performance of music, text and movement.
