Dry Tears is the latest release from the Bruto Industries label and their first release in 12" format. On this occasion, xKukum, one of the founding members of the label, presents his first EP.

The record, which was recorded in late 2020, traces an emotional journey from the distortion of reality caused by melancholy to the determination to move away from it. The EP consists of four original tracks that guide the listener through this journey, with influences from EBM, Dark Wave, Techno, and more. On side A, we find more introspective and melodic tracks, while side B offers sounds more focused on the dance floor. As a special addition, Colombian artist Filmmaker contributes a remix of the track "No More Dramas," complementing the atmosphere of the album with his characteristic powerful sound.

Like previous releases from the label, this work has been mastered by Dan Böhler, who has provided the EP with a sound quality that will not disappoint genre lovers. The artwork is done by Marcos Abella, who completes the concept with an imagery influenced by manga and cyberpunk aesthetics

Each original track tells a unique story and carries its own energy to the dance floor. The influence behind every track was simplicity and emphasizing the raw beauty of each sound for Chem Club Records.

Label Bio:

Chem Club Records is a Philadelphia based label with roots in Techno, House, Electro, Ambient and all things Experimental. Running since 2016, the label is working on it’s 10th release. Chem Club is continuing to research realms of music that have one foot on the dancefloor and the other planted in the studio. Expect the unexpected. 

Artist Bio:

Éstudy is a DJ and producer originally from the Bay Area who now resides in Brooklyn, NY. Éstudy’s music is often mentioned as cinematic with a touch of the unexpected. His roots in psychedelic rock, jazz, classical, and traditional Iranian music influence his eccentric music sets ranging from experimental, house, and industrial to electro, breaks, post-punk, and techno, with cinematic influences. 

He co-ran the collective “They’re Here” in San Francisco for over three years, where he pushed upcoming music and artists with live PA sets and DJing. Éstudy continues to release original music under record labels and has released under Pildoras Tapes, Body Musick, Miseria Records, Mosaique Records, and more.

Schwefelgelb is a Techno duo from Berlin, known for their raw but precise and cutting productions. Their reputation for a strikingly energetic live show brought them into clubs and festivals around the globe.

Now they are taking the next step by launching their own label called n-PLEX. The 4 track EP „Der Puls Durch Die Schläfen“ makes a strong kick-off with a sound capturing rave-like leads, hard-hitting impacts and heavy kicks, which seems to perfectly fit a concrete industrial club.
