Lunar Transpolar Hwy

reworked a recording from last year (amplitude modulation sketch) - sliced 'horizontally' by cutting up the frequency spectrum low-mids-high. picked a point near the middle of the recording, and grabbed one segment from each frequency slice, ending at this point, but of different lengths (3/5/7 relative). copied backwards so the piece starts with the least common multiple of these segments (=105) but at the start only the high frequency is present. then go forward, adding in the other frequency elements, phasing against each other, until once again in phase and the original recording continues

prompt: "take one held tone and make it dance slowly"

patch on my modular system, starting with a sine wave, going into a wavefolder, vcf, vca. coupled LFOs into fold CV (x2), vcf cutoff CV, vca (with some offset/attenuation)

the bit where the waveform gets to dance: manual trigger to freeze LFOs in place, stopping the waveform dancing - let go of trigger to make it dance. 🙃 very quietly feed room mic back in to record physical action of said trigger

levels in ableton live, little bit of reverb
