Steppin’ out with their first VA release since the label’s inception in 1995, Worldship Music follows up the release of underground sensation Roberta’s The Brooklyn Ave Sessions with Herald Traccs Vol. 1. The record is a (mostly) LA based affair, starting with Jam’s Theme, a clever flip of a classic from veteran producer and former Underground Resistance member Santiago Salazar. Next up is En Echo, a deep and dubby affair from Echo Park’s Kelvin K, a seminal figure in SF’s early 00’s house scene. Label owners Teflon Dons open the B side with a tough, deep garage cut that would have likely set the UK garage scene on fire. Unfinished since '98, the Dons thankfully revisited this lost classic for some finishing touches. Rounding out the release is the mysterious Westcoast Goddess, whose First Tear emotes a melancholy beauty reminiscent of Hanna’s early work. Heading strong into their 26th year, underground house music is here to stay with Worldship. Look out for volume 2, the hunger continues…

G.E.N.E. (formerly g.maxim) is a Washington DC based DJ/Producer with 36 years of experience behind the decks. His journey has taken him from the "Golden" era of the Southern California underground scene from the early 90's to the 2000's, playing along side many legendary DJ's of the time. Presently in Washington DC, G.E.N.E. has continued to grind within the DC Underground scene continuing to play his brand of underground dance tunes that bring an esoteric vibe to the dance floor. He is also the label owner of Enman Recordings, a vinyl only imprint that released it's first 12" in 2024. In 2025, he launched an digital imprint, Hibiku Underground Recordings. G.E.N.E.'s commitment to the underground will continue into the future, dedicated to making and playing music to those who seek out the true underground sound.
