Besides all Schimmer artists, we invited other artists to our remix challenge and gave them the opportunity to become part of this compilation. We're super happy to have Confusion, Marco Parodi and Vromo on this VA.

The last podcast of this year was recorded for us by Qi –  Dj from Armenia and resident at the iconic Yerevan’s club Poligraf.
Qi is the vital force, the energy in a state of continuous flux, transforming endlessly. It is neither created nor is it ever destroyed; it simply changes in its manifestation. Qi has built her sound and presence in electronic music since 2019. Before expressing her creativity by music she's been into visual arts.
Her sound is versatile. It varies from the modern sound of classic techno to more organic and ritualistic. Her sets can be both joyful and dark.
Qi`s music can be heard in local electronic music venues and local community raves as: Poligraf, dk.tsk, Loopdeville, etc.
For our podcast, Qi prepared a 160 BPM mix filled with trance music that cuts to the very tips of the nerve endings, so let's fly!

Inspired by the winter sunrises in the city of Porto, MURK AT DAWN VA marks the beginning of a new chapter in the electronic music scene, embracing the passion for the obscure and its intrinsic beauty. The first release by the newly established Rapture label consists of a spatial composition from Maria Callapez that inherits the melancholy from those foggy mornings, followed by the intensity and vigor from two renowned Georgian artists, Hecate Legacy and Downwell. To fulfill the work from the previous producers, Alessandro Adriani presents us some of his dark hypnotic finest art, preceded by the industrial and vibrant pace of the Portuguese Dust Devices, a sonority already considered his trademark. Australian juggernaut Darknet is readying it’s next standout vinyl and digital release that has already been played by Samuli Kemppi and Dave Clarke, marking some fine early support.

The latest EP named “Confusion” from the superb @D-Leria calls on assistance and extra fire power from Alex Bau, Stanislav Tolkachev and Pinion.

The track we selected for this DT:Premiere is by the unique Ukranian @StanislavTolkachev, who we strongly advise you check out and journey into his world, as a bit of obscurity and left field style is a winner in our book. Where as to many this may not be an obvious choice per say, but no doubt his remix will pick up great appreciation for it’s rarity and abstract nature.

DT:Premiere | D-Leria - Confusion (Stanislav Tolkachev Remix) [Darknet]

With “As We Were Saying”, Bassiani resident Héctor Oaks presented his first full-length album. Two years later it’s time to share a new take on Oaks’ vision of rave culture. He brings together an intimate selection of fellow artists and the result is ‘often plus, never minus’ through and through.
DJ Stingray starts off with a dismantled version of “Forwarded State of Evidence”, he keeps the vocals and contrasts them with a metallic beat. Berlin’s Somewhen is next on A2 with a dancefloor-oriented version of “Is Imminent“, originally the opener of the album, now sped up and reworked.
Flipping to the B-side, things get deep: what’s striking about “Re-Improved Motto“ is how Voiski (a fellow Bassiani resident) has kept the beautiful melody of the original and steered it towards acid. Parrish Smith’s remix of “After All She Had No Reason To Stay” pushes through the darkness with a fast beat. Tribal drums and a luring melody complement the EP with “Horoom Reclusion” in a remix by Georgian artist Zesknel.
All in all, BASRMX01 has you think of sweaty club nights and pumped up dancefloors. If the cast of this remix EP was a line-up, you would definitely want to show up to the party.
