Main idea of the piece is a space station being assaulted by some giant Eldritch alien creature.
Had a lot of fun with the sound effects in this one!

Adrift In The Abyss

Main story behind the piece:
A mountain climber finds him/herself halfway up a mountain in the middle of an intense snowstorm. There's no chance of them making it back down the mountain, so they push on.
They slowly trudge up the sheer edges of the mountain and, despite the odds, they reach the top and take in the beautiful scenery at the peak.
Suddenly, the storm picks back up, and the character snaps back to reality. The storm never stopped, and they are stranded.
The piece ends with the climber succumbing to the cold.

I had quite a lot of fun making this piece, and it helped me get more accustomed to Ableton Live, the DAW I used to make it. (Simpler is a great tool for turning samples into instruments!). Now I just have to wait for the mod to be released so I can see how badly my own song will destroy me in-game...
