This track is about a young women facing trials and tribulations growing up in the hood. Being raised in a large family made it hard for her voice to be heard, it also made it tough to find love outside of her family and for herself. The struggles of what she’s been through and sees tells a story of how she suffers silently before she takes on a new path away from what she was raised and born into.  The first part of the song explains her visions and inner understanding of what’s taking place in her life and the second verse gives a hint of the path she has chosen to escape. This song is basically the prequel to “OH NO”.

Genesis.Roze is a creative singer/songwriter who had been struggling with who she was and where she fit growing up in the city of Toronto. Coming from a Christian Jamaican background music was always apart of her everyday life. When it came to doing chores there was music, when it came to break ups, there was music, when it can to hard times, there she had it -music. She never discriminated between any particular type of genre when it came to matching a song with her current mood. It would flow anywhere from Rock,techno, house, rap, hip hop and the likes. She had gone through  many hardships listening to music while learning valuable Lessons from this journey she’s on called life. Being Diagnosed schizophrenia bi-polar, and coping through dealing with many of life’s everyday traumas and triggers; it made it hard for her to live in her light. Having troubles explaining where  she was coming from was often very difficult, she was a young black woman who grew up in the not so great neighborHOODS of the GTA. Genesis was raised in the north-east ends of Scarborough, grew up along the north-east and west ends of the GTA and lived in the south-side ends of Toronto. Areas such as markham and ellesmere, malvern, Rexdale, Malton, bleecker, and Humber Boulevard are some hoods to name a few. Her music flow comes off as very relaxed,sassy,calm,confident, and cool; while painting a picture with her words about what she’s seen or lived through whilst growing up amongst her peers. Very outspoken, mostly introverted, and seldomly shy, genesis.roze uses this platform to better relate with her audience in getting to know Her and her story helping their mind to  draw out a picture perfect painting of her personality, class, and style.
