Genii Blakk is set to release his highly anticipated album entitled “The Music Man” come 2016. The DMG CEO recently released a smash hit single “AYI” which features label mate El Mind, has been said to be one of the most intriguing songs so far. The song was recorded and produced by Direct Muzik Group and contains ear catching lyrics attached to a groovy beat with a catchy controversial hook.
#AYI talks about justice in the music industry as it has always been compromised by the circulation of low quality and poorly arranged music. This has made it very hard for Malawi to gain recognition abroad through music that can stand out on the international scene allowing talented artists from Malawi the global recognition in the music industry.  El Mind appears courtesy of Direct Muzik Group along with Genii Blakk, the two have collaborated several times both in their consecutive projects expected to drop soon. Following up on the single release are music videos and other prepared events to be conducted in line with the Album Launch, said Genii Blakk. A tour for the album is in progress along with Direct Muzik Group artists Jhon O’ Dreams, Spotless, Comrade and El Mind set to hold down shows across the country and other surrounding nations.
 “The Music Man” album displays a message of passion in the pursuit of happiness towards success, said Genii Blakk. People with passion can change the world and everyday great Ideas come about but later on get ignored and slept on because of the mentality that most of them are locally produced. This has made it hard for those that work hard in making state of the art music since any Jim and Jack is being allowed to release music even on radio stations. The Album is being released courtesy of Direct Muzik Group and will be launched locally and internationally. Some of the singles will be available online including the full album on iTunes and Spotify at an affordable price, CD copies of the album will also be made available in well-known stores and other distributaries. 
AYI being the first single released on the 18th of August, Genii Blakk plans to release other singles from the album as promotions are running in preparation to the tour. Other artists featured on this 14 tracked project include Tigris, Nep Man, Bucci, Desert Eagle, Direct Muzik Group including surprise international guest appearances. The album received a good review and rating by critics and producers and is said to be the first of its kind to be produced in Malawi.
