Genius Collective's first release from the E=GC2 EP is the beautifully light and soulful Future (Breaks), a guitar led track featuring the sultry vocals of Genius Collective's leading lady Kezia Johnson, who's sound has been compared to that of Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill &amp; Jill Scott to name but a few. Future fuses guitar, keys, bass and live drums alongside an impressive saxophone harmony providing a backdrop for a story to be told of a love that has come to an end.

On the 3rd of October 2011 Genius Collective had their debut national radio airing through the genius that is Tom Robinson. Tom's "Fresh On The Net" show offers an ecclectic mix of genres, styles and vibes. Genius Collective were lucky enough to be one of two of Ruth Barnes tips of the week. Ruth is the mastermind behind The Other Woman Radio, a podcast, blog, and now live event (entitled "Spit"). On the 17th November 2011, Brett Birks and Louise Brierley played the exclusive of Genius Collective's upcoming single "The Hideout", featuring guest vocals from Marika Diamond and trumpet by Marika Diamond. The track, alongside "Theory", is due to be released on the 1st December 2011 on Street Soul Productions.
