There are fewer producers who symbolize the Coldharbour Recordings story better than Englishman Mike Foyle. Dabbling in various production styles under a number of aliases, it is his work under the name of Statica that has made him a much respected figure in the community, from 'Space Guitar' to 'Bittersweet Nightshade', and to its little brother, 'Deadly Nightshade', released at the beginning of 2010.

Now, Mike returns to light up Coldharbour's summer of 2010, with a double shot of melodic progressive trance grooves which have been much anticipated for many months.

Up first is 'Blossom', a track which soothed the mind of many when listening to Disc 1 of Markus Schulz's Las Vegas '10 compilation. The original subsequently became a fan favorite on Markus' Global DJ Broadcast radio show, with regular plays as the seasons changed from winter to spring.

On remix duties for 'Blossom' is one of the undoubted breakout talents of 2010, in the form of Russian Arty. Already a strong presence on Global DJ Broadcast playlists thanks to his plethora of originals and remixes, he makes his Coldharbour Recordings bow by giving 'Blossom' more of a big room feel, and was a highlight as Markus kicked off another Ibiza Summer Sessions season.

However, not to be overshadowed by 'Blossom', Mike also presents a beautiful and touching effort in the shape of 'Sundown', with a beautiful melody supplemented by some mesmerizing Japanese vocals. Many are declaring 'Sundown' as Mike's best work to date, and those sentiments are justified with one of the highlights of Coldharbour's summer releases.

With the sun splitting the trees, Mike Foyle's latest presentations are sure to provide a fitting soundtrack to a beautiful setting.

For ‘Magenta’s next single transmission, musical maestro Giuseppe Ottaviani has teamed up with Dmitry Dmitriev, better known as Russian trance progressive producer Audiocells. Completing the release’s super troupe is vocalist Shannon Hurley and together they’ve conspired to create something a little bit low-slung and deliciously mood filled!! This is ‘I Am Your Shadow’. 

With the launch of his GO On Air Recordings imprint and the release of the Alana Aldea collaboration ‘Heal This Empty Heart’, Giuseppe’s 2014 was fast off the blocks. March sees the Italian electronic music composer supersize another of the ‘Magenta’ album’s vocal prizes into an incredible single. 

Singer Shannon Hurley (who’s previously toplined tracks for Alex M.O.R.P.H., Tenishia, Andy Duguid, Protoculture and others) brings no small amount of vocal haunt and mystique to her lyrical lines and vocal intonations. Giuseppe underpins them with one of his typically thrusting, sinuous productions, while Audio Cells supply their darkly more atmospheric trance-progressive top layer to further shade ‘Magenta’s palette.

It has been almost a year since we released the original mix of Fade Away by Serbian trio Triplane that featured magnificent vocals of Juli. Now fast forward ahead the track is a true vocal trance classic that just begged for a proper re-release with some additional mixes, that beside the digital release are also published on CD as well.

One of our best producers have worked on the remix album, including Alekzander formerly known as Sensi, Alex Wackii teaming up with his friend Julian Wess, Ascania, Danny Chen & Bart Panco.

Danny Chen is the new name on our label, but should be a familiar name to avid trance listeners as he is already gaining support of the biggest DJ's. His remix has turned the original into a festival banger with raw synths and a breakdown to die for; introducing new lead sounds that drop on us like a tsunami.

Alekzander has upgraded his sound a lot since we last met with him on Pulsar, the remix is a perfect balance between the raw progressive sounds and emotional trance landscapes that all dance together to create one unique approach to this already amazing track.

Ascania worked his magic to make the original piece even more emotional, by adding new synths and swirling sounds that accentuate Juli's vocals even more, hitting it right in the sweet spot.

Alex Wackii & Julian Wess gave us a track with minimalistic approach, dirty sounds, pumped up bass and kick tuned to the max, ready to tear up those club speakers.

Final but not least is Bart Panco's mix, that has something unique to it, something perfect for the coming summer season, a serene and truly relaxing piece of music that will easy your day and carry you away on the lightest wave, rounding it up for this amazing re-release.
