This project began a little over a year ago, with the intent being to make a hip hop record using all live instruments and the musical connections I had through Willie Waldman, who executive produced & played trumpet on the record. We went to Summercamp 2017 to see what we could cook up...

Umphrey's McGee drummer Kris Meyers was the first dude we linked with, and he shot me the initial drum tracks which we then took to Jake Cinninger's studio, where Jake layered multiple different guitar/piano/key overdub parts, eventually playing about 80% of the music on the record. From there the WolfBros drummer Jay Lane also contributed some drum tracks, and Fishbone's bassist Norwood Fisher laid some down some nasty bass tracks for us. We then took that to the Skip Saylor Recording's legendary studio in LA and recorded all the vocals there with Lance Pierre on the boards, who won a grammy for engineering the Marshall Mathers LP. The end result is the WILDLIFE EP, out March 1st.
