So sad to read that Vangelis died on May 17th. Therefore I wrote this song in order to honour the work and life of one of the greatest electronic musicians on this planet.  His tracks inspired me so many times and showed me the beauty of electronic music.

Ultimately, a Moment in Time is a reminder to appreciate the present moment and everything that comes with it.

'TheDelta57' came up with a great idea for a track and was kind enough to let me get my hands on it. When I had finished playing around, I asked Skyline Tigers if she was interested in coming up with some lyrics (shown below) and singing on it. Luckily for everyone, she was and wow, what a fantastic job she did. Her voice is just incredible on this.

The name of this piece refers to the nymph from Homer's "Odyssey" that rescues Odysseus after his shipwreck. The piece features a typical staple of medieval instruments, though does also feature a cello which technically didn't exist until hundreds of years later :) The track starts serenely enough, with dueling whistle and bombarde parts in a type of "conversation" with each other. This then gives way to some ethereal vocals backed by a medieval lute and a baroque guitar ... before all hell breaks loose and the song moves squarely into its second act.
