This is a Bi-weekly pod cast of my current show entitled " Live & Improvised " this is not a DJ set. As the title says the music is performed live and is improvised. This means the music is made up on the spot. Each show is uniqe and what is heard will never be reproduced again. It is a personal Journey between me and the people present at my performance. The Pod Casts i post will be mostly from my shows on the road and will vary in time. sit back and enjoy the chemistry between creating and experiencing live electronic music.

DIE by the Natural Curve : 1st Single (Larse Remix)

I Die is the first release from The Natural Curve on the Best’s Friends Music label.

When the track was posted on Soundcloud, as a demo a few years ago, it caught the ear of legendary producer Niles Rodgers who simply tweeted: “That’s an awesome song!”

The tune has been revamped and updated by the Natural Curve, with the addition of guitar, percussion, and a funky-assed bass line.

I Die features the extraordinary vocal talents of the mighty Polly Gibbons; a Ronnie Scott’s and Birdland Jazz Club regular, with fans on both sides of the Atlantic. She has collaborated with the Natural Curve on several tracks.

BIO:

The Natural Curve is musician, songwriter, and producer Paul Cullen.

I Die is a typical Natural Curve track: a groovy collaboration with friends and musicians; a catchy ear-worm, packed with live performance, soul, funk, and character.

The Natural Curve repertoire is diverse, with downbeat, nujazz, d&b, house, and funk all featuring in the portfolio. The one thing that ties them all together: the groove. It has to be groovy. ‘All my best friends are bass players…’

The Natural Curve said: “Disco never died. It’s a musical perennial. There is always space for a new ‘classic’ and I Die is exactly that; slipping into the essential wedding DJ set and setting the dance floor on fire.

“The track is as groovy AF. It’s also a dead cert funeral favourite for the recently deceased, with a sense of humour.”

“The bottom line: If Nile Rodgers thinks it’s “awesome”, all other opinions are frankly irrelevant. The God of Disco has spoken and he likes it. That’s the t-shirt.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to kittens that the gorgeous Daniel Best is releasing this track. Our paths first crossed when I was signed to Frankfurt label Infracom Records, with the band Taxi. He has always been a musical pioneer, with a great ear for serious talent.

“I Die is a track that’s been on my hard drive for a while; a nagging, grooving, funky, utterly irresistible tune, with a peerless vocal from Polly, that you know is destined for the dance floor.”
