4am Sessions 001

Live set from FnF Campout XXI in the dark at 3am: We were beyond stoked to play under the Radiant Atmosphere lights on Know:Audio's full rig. Our intentions for the set were Badass-tech, Swampy curveballs, & evocative energies. We were trying to summon primal energies and ancient archetypes. For years we've wanted to use Ministry's "So What" in a set and we basically framed this whole energy upon that anchor/pivot. We can't stop dancing to these tracks and hope you enjoy 'em as well!

3am Invocations - Dao & Pwny - Live at FnF XXI 2017

Hey everyone :) This is a live recording of my DJ set I played at Friends and Family (FnF) campout in Northern California. It was their 21st edition and a very special gathering, I had such a wonderful time and am very grateful to have been invited to share that experience with such awesome people! 

I had no idea going into this set how it would be received, and it went down very well, thank you all for your kind words and for dancing. I am humbled and honored.

We wasted no time sending those dusted and willing into a deep psychedelic techno groove settling into a 2 hour journey that moved from a funky groovy 122bpm shooting up to a Perfect Ace track at 128bpm. Finally coasting down to a landing with an extended block of my favorite Portuguese duo, Zen Racoon. Enjoy!

New Years w/ FnF – 2018 (Earth Dog)

This week we are featuring our first of many live sets from the recent Breakfast of Champions event on New Years Day.  This mix is from Space Cowboy veteran Brad Robinson who played mid day inside the RIDE room.  Here are a few words from @djbradrobinson:

A lot of people will tell you that Breakfast of Champions is their favorite party of the year.  There is a reason why.  It's because there is so much love and positive energy packed into this party.  From the amazing guests that attend, to the artists that perform, to the event staff, and the Space Cowboy hosts that glue the whole thing together.  The cowboys have been throwing this party now for 18 years and while things come and go in San Francisco, I am proud to be a part of this group and iconic event.  As for the music, this is pure Brad Robinson through and through.  Enjoy it!

For some reason most of the interesting new music I've found lately is techno, so I felt well-stocked for this event

I got a little more experimental on the mixing to make the mix extra-trippy, check the transition around 10mins for example

We've been very excited to share the latest Mix-Ins Session featuring one of our favorites @MO7S . From way back it was obvious that Steve was going to do big things in his musical endeavors.  His style, tastes and technique have always made a lasting impression on us and to those around him.  

Djing since 1993. MO7S, got his start cutting and scratching during the early years of turntablism. Through the mid nineties, the early New York and New England club and rave scenes inspired the sound he still plays today. “Maxi-minimal Acid Bass,”  with roots in techno, acid, dark garage and breaks. 
He has worked for several record stores including Satellite as buyer and DJ. By the turn of the millennium, he had performed internationally and opened for everyone from John Digweed to The Jungle Brothers. His editorial contributions reached magazines such as Rinse, XLR8R & Urb and more. In 2004, he moved to California and began curating for his label, Monism Music. By 2010, Monism had been licensed to TV & Film. He was featured on Kid Capri's "Masters of The Mix" on BET & VH1 and placed as a National finalist. His was later featured on several episodes of American Dad! on TBS and FOX. He continues to produce with upcoming releases on Tight Groove, 3AM Devices, Monism and more. His 4th studio album is rumored to be released later this year.
