This remix improves the balance and also reduces an annoying buzz on the guitar track...

This was played at my father's funeral in 2017. The haunting words of the song were printed in the order of service.  The photo is of him taken in 1947.

Our take on the Classic Tuxedo Junction by Erskine Hawkins, Bill Johnson and Julian Dash.

This rehearsal was preparing for a 2 hour set where we played as part of a fund raiser for Maggie's Centre Dundee.

Our take (sic) on the The Classic Take 5 by Paul Desmond and made famous by the Dave Brubeck Quartet.

With Jeff Williams (Guitar), Natasha Williams (Piano) and the amazing Suzanne on string Bass.

This rehearsal was preparing for a 2 hour set where we played as part of a fund raiser for Maggie's Centre Dundee.

We played this many times live  but never got a perfect recording.  Never had time to do it properly, but this is OK in parts.  Somehow those mics make it more difficult.

Getting to know my new Roland RD2000 .     All instruments mixed on the RD2000.  There are inevitably a couple of 'genuine first live performance' "moments"....  ;-)   Also happens to be the first tune that my life partner Julia likes which is a plus...

Epic

My mum, Bronwen,  passed away at the age of 95 on 18th March 2020.  She loved to play this piece,  Beethoven's für Elise.  I last heard her playing it faltingly just a few months before she died.   I recorded this version in her memory.   

Due to covid-19 I could not be with her at the end and won't be at the funeral on 1st April either.  However, I will be there in spirit, playing this.

I'm a keyboard/flute player, tune writer and Professional Scientist, living in Scotland, UK.  The original tunes on SoundCloud are mostly "first draft" improvisations and ideas.  I'm slowly working these into full releases through Spotify, Apple Music etc. 

There are also some classical pieces and a few Jazz tunes played with friends.
