A traditional orchestral piece composed in 2019 as a tribute to my mother, Lucy DeSisto, whose long life, well lived, was a cause for celebration, a Reason to Dance.  She passed away on January 21, 2020.

This piece will be part of the Diamond Dance Festival's annual presentation in 2023.

Easy to hear multi-layered groove.  

Experiments in time... piano dropped first, loosely on the click... later added variegated grooves of percussion and keys all unraveling and traveling at individual rates vis-a-vis the click... tied together with quiet dance beats.

I Like was first conceived 1980 in the Laban centre London as a work for Richard Haisma's wonderfully energetic choreography. 

Dreams and Water was created initially in a Hoboken loft in 1984, as a kind of interpretation or riposte to the KISS FM Mega Mixes that won New York's airwaves every lunchtime that year.

Gibbous Moon Blue Sky and Sun is a 4th world nod towards Jon Hassell, and indeed Jon Keliohor of London Contemporary Dance School fame. 

Canterbury Memory - I would cycle, a kind of pilgrimage as it were, from London, through Kent, to Petham just outside Canterbury, for sustenance and relief from the urban vibe.

The Lawn At Midday

This track was recorded as part of the sessions for 'At Wild End' but wasn't included as I felt it was too 'apocalyptic' for the pastoral feel of the album - it was inspired by a dream (a bad dream). Don't ask me why, but it just seems appropriate to make it public now. It features some fine organ playing from the late Guy LeBlanc, drums by Dave Stewart, arpeggio guitars from Ben Mandelson, and power sprongs from Andrew Latimer. The rest is my fault.
